    How would you feel about Corley landing in Pittsburgh?

    After watching your scouting report I agree, I'm definitely not as high on drafting Corley as I once was before the combine. I like him but view him more as a WR3.I think I'd rather have a more polished WR like Mitchell, Pearsall, Legette, Wilson or McMillan as my WR2 for sure. Definitely need a WR2 that can get some separation somehow since we don't have DJ anymore

    Draft him in the 3rd maybe, we need a center and right tackle first two rounds

    Corley is good but give me Malik Washington to Pittsburgh in the 4th round. The wide receiver steal of the draft. 🎉🎉🎉

    Unless we move back in rd1 to maybe pick up an extra late 2nd rd pick, i dont see the Steelers taking a receiver till rd 3 anyhow. however, i highly doubt this is the guy. i could see them possibly doubling up later if hes still around later than rd3. but im comfortable with anybody we pick at receiver... due to our track record selecting great receivers in later rounds. but another great analysis as usual. i really look forward to your content.

    I was high on Corley, probably buying into the Deebo comps too much. Appreciate your breakdown as always. Now hoping more for Pearsall, McConkey, or even Legette. I'd still be excited about Corley, but my expectations would be tempered. Great work as always, man!

    As usual, fantastic video. I see Johnny Wilson (Florida State) isn't in your top 20. If he's there at 119, is he worth drafting? I'm fascinated by his size/speed ratio and what he might be able to do as a Red Zone target.

    I get the sense we’re going WR in day 2 but I can’t help but wish we’d go AD Mitchell at 20. He seems like a great fit due to him being to be able to be our #2 WR right away

    I'd love to hear your thoughts on Pearsall and Leggette. If they take a WR in the 2nd those two are likely options. If they wait until the 3rd, we're looking more at Jermaine Burton, Jamari Thrash, or Malik Washington. I like Roman Wilson, but I feel like the consensus has him a bit high.

    I'd like to know your thoughts on Virginia's Malik Washington compared to M. Corley. Do you think he is more polished WR?

  • @Steelers_DB

    @Steelers_DB

    2 ай бұрын

    if you look at the rankings in the description, you'll see that I actually have him ahead of Corley but very similarly graded. Washington is also very good after the catch but more of a polished WR from a nuance standpoint. The thing with washington that holds him back is that hes a slot only and for teams that like to interchanged their wide outs, I dont see him being on their boards due to his lack of size.

    If we would take Corley 4th mid third means we found a wr2 some where so in pecking order of touches it would be pickens ,wr2 pat najee Warren then Corley he would never get the number of touches he needs to be effective

    I'm seeing him in the second round of mocks. Like I said, that's rich for me personally. I don't think he's going to be a high volume player right off the bat anyways. I'm more so worried about actually turning him into a wide receiver and more than just a gadget guy.

    I hate to use this but could he be used like a Debo Samuel in the Steelers offense? Love his versatility and what he can bring it’s just how he would fit… also would you put Roman Wilson or Xavier worthy or Ladd mcconkey or Ricky persall over him?

    Talked about the Deebo comp in the vid a little bit obviously but that is kind of what you would ideally want his usage to look like in a perfect world. If you look in the description, there's the wide receiver rankings link.

    It wasn’t a really big selling point one way or the other in the games I watched. But you can see how the frame would be an asset there. Does compete on the perimeter when asked to block on screens but most of the time, he was the one getting the rock on those calls.

  • @greghoke779

    I hate that everyone sees the next Deebo each year. Velus Jones, Treylon Burks, Laviska Shenault, etc. If you draft Corley, you aren’t getting Deebo. He runs around and tries to get the ball to run with it. He may develop and become a star. I hope he does because I love young talent in the league. He’s a low tier 3 receiver right now, so rank him accordingly.

  • @Steelers_DB

    @Steelers_DB

    2 ай бұрын

    no prospect is perfect but yea, important to be realistic about the things they have to improve on to get on the field. if you cant get open, how can they get you the ball? thats a really simple but effective way to look at the receiver position.

  • @edhall32

    DB is the best out there right now breakin down film. DB doesn’t Patterson fill the Deebo role on the Steelers so wouldn’t be better served going after a 1A like AD Mitchell, McConkey, Pearsal, or BTJ?

  • @Steelers_DB

    @Steelers_DB

    2 ай бұрын

    Patterson could do those things but 33-year olds dont factor into draft decisions much. I would love to get Pickens a running mate, just not sure they see it the same way. it sounds like they want a day two guy, possibly double dip and take another swing on day three.
