Hilarious. You’re finding these spots for them but then they still want to hunt the spot the way they hunt a box blind over a food plot. “ aw yea we can come in here in July and cut some lanes and build a blind” they’re going to marry those spots and pound em like it’s the honeymoon and guess what the deer catch on real quick and they’ll be somewhere else. Big buck killers have a mentality that you just can’t teach.

This approach to scouting new spots can be applied anywhere , an informative vid. After aerial and topo research there's no substitute for boots on the ground to confirm what you suspect. IMHO it's the fascinating part of deer hunting.

I have never experienced those pine stands of the south but I do understand thick pines in the northeast and this was great content for this...I noticed this year for the first time the deer were loving the running water through those areas and eating alot of the plants that were on the banks of those runoffs. They were the most lush green ferns in the bedding area

Thank you for this. I’m a new hunter in GA, but I grew up somewhere else, so I’m still trying to learn where the deer are down here. Like that one guy said, they like to go where I don’t. This season I did dive into these more recent clear cuts and found where deer were bedding, but I couldn’t figure out ways to get in there without making a ton of noise. This video gave me some ideas.

it simple, deer are edge creatures, find the edges and you will find where they like to move. An edge can be as simple as a small rise in elevation in a constant hard woods and that is were the buck will follow.
