Penn State head coach James Franklin helped strengthen a dire position of need -- the Nittany Lions secondary -- with the commitment of former Georgia cornerback A.J. Harris out of the Transfer Portal. Harris, a 5-star recruit out of high, saw action in a handful of games during his true freshman season in Athens, compiling 8 total tackles in mop-up duty. Given his size, length and athleticism, Harris should instantly compete for one of the two vacant starting cornerback roles at Penn State following the early departures of Kalen 'King and Johnny Dixon to the NFL.

Hey Penn State fans! You all just got an incredible kid in AJ Harris. I coached him in HS at Glenwood - Comes from a military family and is incredibly disciplined- very humble He will turn heads this year! A stud!

Totally up for grabs, especially if Penn State lands the other rumored corner from the portal. Unlike last year, there should be some real heated position competitions this spring/summer -- corner being top of the list.
