Because taking the lives of stormtroopers in video games can remind us of the larger context of conflict and loss in the real world. It's normal to reflect on the impacts of fictional violence. If this reflection brings about discomfort, it shows a sense of empathy and a recognition of the value of life.

@@jawsbuster8016well actually, in the game, it classifies the scouts as stormtroopers...
I just found him and googled him he felt so much like a stand up guy i just stood with him for a minute and left.

This is one of my few complains about Jedi survivor and fallen order, they dehumanize imperial troopers despite many if not most are like Scotty

Yeah in a way they do… but they’ve actually humanized them more. Just listen to their conversations.

I’ve killed so many storm troopers in all the battle fronts I even exploded one of a mountain:(
lets be honest we NEED a star wars game were you play as a type of trooper. I'm just gonna start saying what it should have 1. a real nice open world experience 2.whatever type of trooper you choose at the start changes the experience, scout trooper: live in the forest. stormtrooper: live on the death star or something 3.a real sad yet good ending like the main character sacrificing himself for his family I'm just tired of playing as a jedi or an apprentice to Darth Vader.
