It still is puzzling how Pippen always had nothing but praise for MJ. Pippen had MJ present for him at the HOF...like was all that praise fake? Or did he just turn on MJ because of the Last Dance, him selling his book, and his family drama...? Weird dynamics going on with Pippen

Seriously I still remember that ESPN show with Rachel Nichols when Pippen laid out his argument for why MJ was better than LeBron, and T Mac was gleefully sipping his cup of tea in full agreement. Recent events have made Pippen bitter and depressed. His son died, his wife left him for MJ's son, the Last Dance brought up his less shining moments. Pippen feels very vulnerable and he sees MJ as the bad guy (albeit wrongfully) and is lashing out.

Michael Jordan played five seasons without Scottie Pippen 84-85 38-44..First round exit 85-86. 30-52..First round exit 86-87. 40-42...First round exit 01-02. 37-45..out of playoffs 02-03. 37-45..out of playoffs LeBron james carried an absolutely horrific 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers team to the nba finals In the modern NBA era (post 1960) only nine NBA top 75 players have won a championship without another top 75 player as a teammate Rick Barry (1975) Bill Walton (1977) Hakeem Olajuwon (1994) Tim Duncan (2005) (2007) Kobe Bryant (2009) (2010) Steph Curry (2015) (2022) LeBron james (2016) Kawhi Leonard (2019) Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021) As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO LeBron james has won 10 conference championships Michael Jordan won 6......Only Bill Russell and Sam Jones have more conference championships (In a mostly nine team league) than LeBron James In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were 83-84 bulls 27-55 84-85 bulls. 38-44 92-93 bulls 57-25 93-94 bulls 55-27 98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen 00-01 wizards 19-63 01-02 wizards. 37-45 02-03 wizards 37-45 03-04 wizards 25-57 02-03 cavaliers 17-65 03-04 cavaliers 35-47 09-10 cavaliers 61-21 10-11 cavaliers 19-63 09-10 heat. 47-35 10-11 heat 58-24 14-15 heat 37-45 2013-14 cavaliers 33-49 2014-15 cavaliers 53-29 2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32 2018-19 cavaliers 19-63 2017-18 lakers. 35-47 2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day. As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank. Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck. THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!! I have added a Postscript So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER Making the playoffs in 1985. Perfect example is the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school

The thing about Scottie is that he can talk like that now because we are not in the moment of the 90’s anymore. Anyone who’s lived it like Dominique firsthand will know how much bullshit he’s been saying. Scottie is also doing a disservice to the game because he’s just giving more fuel to the dumb ways some people talk about bball now like that Scottie and MJ graphic. I think that’s why it’s so important for the league to try and give ways to educate us younger fans but they don’t, even with the endless library of games they must have. So the documentaries (specifically older ones, for older players/eras) that they made in the moment about those teams, eras, and championship years are about as good as it gets imo.

And I think it’s true to some degree, I think Pippen is under appreciated. His role as an emotional leader to pick people up when Jordan kicked them down, is bigger than people know. But regardless, he’s not Larry Bird, and he’s not Jordan. He’s good, but he’s not in that GOAT debate. He needs to accept his lot, grow up emotionally, and stop attacking his best Teammate ever, because it’s making him look foolish.

Scottie has a lot of anger at this point and he's just lashing out. Through all the financial troubles he's been through, and now with the whole ex thing, I'm pretty sure 99% of us will just simply crumble. Imagine having the world and blunddering it, and having your wife leave for someone you literally watch grow up, I understand Pippen's frustration and anger. As far as what Pippen is saying about Jordan being a bad Teammate and a bad leader, I would agree with him in someways as well. With the story of how Jordan simply destroyed people careers like Kwame or that Bulls kid, and the stories like Jordan punching Kerr, he doesn't sound like a good teammate by any means. With that said, if anyone is arguing Pippen is a better "player" than Jordan or could accomplish more on his own, they would be delusional. Pippen in 93 couldn't get to the conference finals with relatively the same squad that won the finals. Then Pippen on the Rockets and Blazers simply flamed out as well. Not to mention the amount of negativity that came with his stint on the Rockets (feud with Chuck), and the Blazers (bad locker room presence). Feel sorry for the man, and hopefully he gets some help before he goes down the dark path some more.

John Salley's basketball takes are as subjective as they come. He's a Bad Boy Piston to his core and that will always influence what he says about MJ. He played a total of 17 regular season games for the Chicago Bulls and a total 85 minutes in the postseason for them. Not enough to soften a guy's heart, like for Rodman who battled for 3 full seasons alongside Jordan. Further proof of that: John Salley also played in every playoff series for the 2000 Lakers team. That means he played with all-time greats Shaq and Kobe. John could have said Kobe was the most skilled player he's ever played with. But that wouldn't work as well because Kobe was a Jordan copycat. He realized he could try to diminish Jordan more by picking Jordan's best teammate to use instead. See how John's mind works?

Good vid. I always thought Pippen was over-rated, especially offensively. Defensively, Pipp was one of best all-time...but who drove him to be that good? MJ, "the" best defensive guard of all time, who was BRUTAL to Pippen during practice in his first few seasons, and drove him to become the player that he became. Basically, Pippen was a beast in the open court, and was very good taking the ball to the hoop, and then later in career, developed a solid (not great) mid-range game. Most of his points came off teams doubling MJ (or at least leaning towards him). Most teams basically allowed Pippen to score/shoot as much as he wanted. But Pippen fans, remember this: at his peak (1993-94), without Jordan, Pippen was a very good all-around player. He averaged 22/8.7/5.7. Very good numbers. BUT NOT ELITE! He NEVER was an elite scorer. 22ppg was by far his best year. After he left the Bulls, Pippen was average offensively (14ppg,12,11,10.5 next 4 seasons, and his defense wasn't on par either).

Everyone points to the 55-win season without Jordan. I think it had a lot to do with Horace Grant as much as Scottie. Horace often doesn't get the credit for his defense and rebounding. Because once Horace left, Scottie led the Bulls to a 34-31 record before Jordan unretired. And it was Horace that killed the Bulls in the 95 playoffs. And then the Bulls swept the Magic next year, and big surprise, Horace was injured most of that series. Andalso the 93-94 team that had both Toni and Grant on the same team something Jordan never head.

Sally his own definition of skills. Generally an NBA fan would talk skill and look at Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, and of course Michael Jordan. Does Pip have better handles? No Does Pip have a better mid-range game? No Does Pip have a better footwork? No Does Pip have a better back-to-basket game? No Does Pip have a more complete layup package? No Does Pip have a better jumpshot? No Is Pip a better passer? Arguably but I've seen Jordan play point-guard and can also do sick passes. Is Pip a better dunker? No Is Pip a better shot-blocker? No, I mean peak Jordan averaged more blocks than Joel Embiid despite being 6'6, Pip would never touch that. Plus Jordan can swat the ball using both hands which is extremely difficult. I mean Pip can defend more dudes because he has a bigger windspan, he has more physical tools than Jordan. Jordan with Pippen's height and length - I mean, game over - Jordan would have been a much bigger problem and this nonsense GOAT debate would have been more nonsense.

But that has nothing to do with basketball, nor does it have anything to do with Jordan. Bad mouth Marcus...he's the one piping your ex. Incidentally she's his ex, why should he even care who's piping her. Pippen is soft, always has been always will be a little bitch.

I think Scottie has hated MJ long before LArsa and Marcus Jordan. Remember, in his book, he said he never gave MJ his condolences for the death of his father.

I Truly believe that Michael Jordan Could have took Charles Barley and Won Six World 🌎 Championships Just as the Same.. What I don't think Scottie Pippen Could have took LeBron James and did the Samething or anyone Else in the League."
