I used to cringe at Scott for his erratic behavior and acting like a jackass until I learned the trauma he endured in his childhood, and how it had seriously impacted him even into his adulthood. It actually makes me feel empathy for him and I’m glad that he is clean and sober now and doing better than ever

I was very young in the early 2000’s but I remember nobody felt bad for the celebrities having public breakdowns. They only ever thought “well they got all that money and fame, what are they complaining about?” because they were probably chasing the same thing and hadn’t realized that success is a false god. Public perception towards celebrities is changing for better and for worse now.

@@nicolaevic Vedder had great emotion, and cooler songs. True showman in the early days too. Stapp was ok, but sounds like he’s singing with marbles in his mouth. And he priced to be a complete D bag, which didn’t help his case. These days he sounds like a southpark character singing. By the way I also prefer Cornell and Stayley to Vedder. Corbin had the songs and a certain style, but he’s a weaker singer than all of them.

They haven't been a band since this tour in 2012. Stapp is doing his own thing while Mark, Brian, and Scott Philips are doing Alter Bridge. Mark also has his own solo project called Tremonti. Still making music, just light-years apart from one another.

@@nicolaevic Vedder had great emotion, and cooler songs. True showman in the early days too. Stapp was ok, but sounds like he’s singing with marbles in his mouth. And he priced to be a complete D bag, which didn’t help his case. These days he sounds like a southpark character singing. By the way I also prefer Cornell and Stayley to Vedder. Corbin had the songs and a certain style, but he’s a weaker singer than all of them.

They haven't been a band since this tour in 2012. Stapp is doing his own thing while Mark, Brian, and Scott Philips are doing Alter Bridge. Mark also has his own solo project called Tremonti. Still making music, just light-years apart from one another.
