Can we just appreciate how important this release is? We all thought this game was left to rot in the digital void due to a litany of legal issues. It was basically the poster child for why making things digital-only or refusing to preserve digital content is so bad. Straight-up awesome. Definitely picking this one up ASAP.

My favorite memory of this game was me and my friend beating the Katayanagi twins in less than 5 seconds because I somehow launched one into his attacks that took them both out before they could even move.

@@Gothstana must have been the "you don't get stories like that anymore", huh? Allow me to explain: if Scott Pilgrim were to come out today it would be met with controversy. People would criticize Scott Pilgrim's character early on, which would make people not want to relate to him, which in turn would make people miss one of the major points of the comic. People would do the same for Ramona, for the same reasons. Not to mention a lot of modern social issues would taint a lot of the content in the comic: there might be forced black/latino characters into it (not saying that's a bad thing, im just saying people would likely criticize the cast being mostly white and might bug the author to add more diversity, which would be either black or latino because of course it would), the gay characters wouldn't just be gay casually, they would be gay pride all day instead of the non political homosexuality in the comic, and that's not even getting into the evil boyfriends.

Hopefully when it gets released, they give Wallace his own moveset.

Not really, there's was a legitimate reason for that. The game was delisted since 2014 with absolutely no info or hope for the game to return. This is a mericle.

To add up more info about the original game release. The original release was digital-only, like there is literally no physical release for the X360/PS3 during 2010, which means the game can be delisted anytime, which is the biggest reason why the re-released is such a big thing in the first place.

The delisting was in 2014. Which doesn't take away from the magnitude of the occasion, it was still delisted for more years than it was available.

Man I can’t wait to play this game. It’s amazing that’s been ten years since Scott Pilgrim made his comeback into the video game,I am also planning on rewatching the movie again as well.

Dude why would they though? The story was complete and they already did a color release of it, the only thing I could imagine them doing is doing a big book with all the books in one.

Man, remember when the rights to this game were compromised so they took off every trace of this game from any digital copies that existed UNTIL NOW? Because I think that's the coolest thing ever.

@@shinitaru If you buy it you can still download it and play it even if it gets delisted from the stores. I dug out my 360 a few months ago and was able to re-download it. It's only once the entire marketplace goes down (Wii etc) that you could lose access.

@@HollowRick I'd say the real blame lies with the companies that are slowly trying to get rid of physical media completely and forcing people to buy all their games digitally. Limited Run on the other hand do give you the option of being able to buy a physical copy of a game that you wouldn't otherwise be able to get. As for the resellers, they will always be around as long as people are stupid enough to pay their prices.

I’m 100% sure Limited Run would publish physical copies of this game since this game is the poster child of beloved games that were digitally delisted from online digital store fronts.

@@protoluigi2047 Same here, I remember reading an interview that Limited Run did a while ago. One of the questions that they were asked is which game did they regret not doing a physical copy of and they said it was Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

Funny thing is, I actually got River City Girls because I wanted a retro-stylized beat'em-up that didn't take itself seriously and Scott Pilgrim was unavailable. XD
