I mean i reckon comic SP as having lowkey self-centered detachment, not quite like sociopathic gaping-ass douche, but sure youthful pricky ways. I mean, he's a normal non-evil guy, so he's reluctant to break up with Knives, but do it nonetheless. Dude's living off of his roomate at 23 with no major life goals or effort putting since he can brush it off based on his good looks and self-confidence that drive him through social contexts quite steadily. Not to mention dude's a damn heavy hitter, no one wins against him in fights, like, fuck! Movie Scott is all of these, but the way the production and Cera's mannerisms frame it, it seems to me like under an effectively whole new light. He doesn't sound like living off of Wallace because he just goes along with the unemployment anymore, now he seems more like a real messy kindhearted lad that's just out of place. Not winning fights because he's a self-confident incisive dude, but more like because he's able to muster a somewhat dorky wit whenever the situation demands, in spite of being a real geek. I think i can sum it up saying comic Scott rolls along through life, and is able to do so because he's confident and somewhat pretty, while movie Scott nerdy-slips his way through life, with more anxiety-ridden demeanor, and just happens to thankfully be able to do so without screwing stuff for himself.

@@momoreview5555 which is annoying since I’ve only seen the movie and played the game. I was told the comic was way better and more in depth, and was then lied to from that show doing a bait and switch. And now that I’ve watched that show I don’t want to even bother reading the comics when I know that it could have been amazingly animated like “takes off”.

As much as Lisa's a great character, she's introduced (other than the flashbacks) near the end of the stories, and im assuming with time and stuff, they can't include every character

my thought is that lisa was cut from the movie to fit the scope of the project (the comic runs over a much longer timeline than the movie, & lisa appears in toronto for the summer). and then the show is more of a call back for the movie rather than the series, and delves less into scott's past rather than ramona's. so she gets double the short end of the stick :(

i'd say she's not in the movie due to how limited the format was (and that's also why a lot of other details are left out); while the series simply focuses more on Ramona and develops her character (which was very lacking in the live action tbh, she felt like she's simply there to be the mc's romance) and not on scott's past
