The 2010 film oc
Although not being a retelling, SPTO maintains the same love for those wonderful characters mixing up the connections and relations between them. It was not what fans expected but what this franchise needed the most. It takes courage to take such a beloved world and turning it upside down while keeping its heart and spirit the same. As always, great in-depth analysis (and let's admit: even though Ramona was indeed a walking red flag, we all fell in love with her at least once).

@@TheItalianScreenwriter completely understandable 🤝🏻
I think it's worth noting that "Scott Pilgrim takes off" is closer to the original source material of both- the comic books, which take place over the course of several years. The 2010 film was more of a summarized story telling Scott's journey, not able to focus as much on how Ramona grows. It's good, but of course, unable to reach the depths that the comics did. I see the show more as continuation material, kinda like a bridge for people who liked the movies and wanted more Ramona, and people who liked the comics seeing the same style. It's really cool how they're not just trying to remake it but bring more story to it. This was a great comparison but we can't forget about the og source, the comics, because from what I've seen the show stays more true to that than the film. Thank you for this video!
I Love Scott Pilgrim , The Serie of Netflix and The Movie. I am Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead fan , they Chemistry as Couple is so Awesome , I Ship Then Very Much , Just like the Characters Scott and Ramona . Scott and Ramona are My Favorite and The Best Couple of This Universe . They Moments in Serie and The Movie is so Cute and Lovely!!🤩🤩😍😍
being myself a new fan of the franchise, I like the story of the anime better. Nothing wrong with the comic ofc, but it’s just that the anime feels like the pacifist route of Scott Pilgrim, with every ex redeeming itself (except gideon) and even being friends with the main cast, so idk it feels nicer than just killing them off and suffocating any character development, the best example being Pathel, which turns out to be a lovely & funny character instead of being killed in his first 10 minutes of screen time

I see your point. The series does have it’s strengths, but man the movie… I lived my teenage years with that movie… it definitely has a nostalgia effect on many

@@TheItalianScreenwriter that’s why you can’t go against nostalgia! I’m just giving my view as a new fan who has seen the movie after the anime, nothing wrong with it tho

Sempre simpaticissimo ♥️
I really liked the show, but man that one episode where the gay guy was going at it in the trailer was ridiculous 😟 like not even because it’s gay, but it’s just weird. That character was really bizarre because they tried to write him as wise, but then he was just kind of a jerk and awfup

I mentioned this movie to a co-worker and he said this movie was a reason to be in a rock band and the reason most of us end up liking emo girls. 1000% facts for it all🤣🤣🤣🤣
