Scott Hamilton - the greatest showman on ice!! The spins and footwork are first rate!! There will never be another one like him on the ice; just an all-around wonderful human being. The work he has done for his sport and for cancer survivors is exemplary.

Scott you can make anyone smile and laugh all while skating to perfection. We are so proud of you...God bless you and the USA!

What think is so amazing about Scott is he is the total package. So many skaters are all jumps or spins etc. Scott is everything plus something extra-showmanship! You loose yourself while watching him, he is so entertaining and special. I totally enjoyed his career.

One of the greatest, if not the greatest figure skater, of all time. The man was phenomenal. He always gave me something to look forward to every time he skated. Love that man!

This guy is amazing (just not great jumps and talent but entertaining), one of my favoriter skaters ever.

I enjoyed watching him perform about a decade ago and found him inspiring as I was recovering from brain cancer. Seeing him work to get his strength back encouraged me to keep working on not get discouraged.

Watching Scott Hamilton skate is like watching a smile be born just to light up the room. He is pure joy!

Well, I feel privileged to grow up watching these performances for the first time. What a skater. He was the best.

In addition to his backflip what I like most about Scott is he brings humor to his performance.

My all time favorite. How does he run on ice like that? Amazingly flawless

No one can compare to the showman that he was!! This was back when people could really skate and gave their absolute all!

Im still smiling! The audience loves Scotty and Scotty loves performing. It's a great match. He is the best and always will be.

I miss him! There are skaters now who can do more tricks and "better" jumps, but they have no personality. Hats off to Scott, who kicked ass and made you smile every time you saw him.

I knew, in 1984, I would never love another skater like I did Scotty. There have been great, great skaters since then, but there’s only one Scott Hamilton. And I’ll always put him above any other. When he had his “Stars on Ice” tours I was fortunate enough to see him, and those amazing groups, three times. His personality, in person, slides right from that ice to you. God bless Scotty, and keep him well.

I've always love Scotty Hamilton's skating. He and Paul Wylie have been my most favorites, and I was fortunate to see a Stars On Ice in person when Scotty and Paul were both in the show.

I’m so glad this video of Scott was posted. I must have missed seeing this performance back in the day. But I can tell it’s just as fresh, exciting and enjoyable as any other Scott Hamilton performance. He’s a joy to watch!

So much better than today's race, jump, race, jump. Absolutely no entertainment value in today's competitive skating. Scott is definitely the GOAT.

What comes across always in his skating is his love of the sport.

I will never grow tired of watching the performance of Scott Hamilton. He is an excellent athlete and and outstanding skater..

Technically, working your feet/hips/ body that quickly in "footwork" on the ice is extremely difficult. In this performance, he is in his 30s and still doing pretty perfect triples under pressure in a lengthy, challenging program. Jumps are over in a second, difficult skating and footwrok is a sustained action taking real effort over time. Therefore, a 5.9 for sure!
