Everybody knows it, there is a mythical version of this tracks, the Charlie Parker's version of 1942 and there are several transcriptions of it visible on KZread. Then, even if this Scott Hamilton solo was recorded 40 years later, it must definitely be placed in the same category of one-day masterpiece, played by an artist at the top of his art, who plays the solo of his life.

I just wanted to say that your transcriptions of Hamiltons solos should be published. And then I noticed you are giving away the pdf for free. So much work! Even if you dont want to make a book - you can still sell it on the internet. I have seen people selling transcription for 3-5 dollars. I am sure there will be taker( I know I would pay for it)

Thank you for your post. I was a very bad student in english at scool , so I will answer you in french. Pour moi, la musique c'est avant tout le partage.Et pour moi c'est en partageant qu'on apprend . De nos jours, tout est payant , j'aime l'idée de partager sans contrepartie financière. J'ai demandé la permission à Scott Hamilton de poster ses transcriptions de solos, il m'a répondu qu'il était ok. Ce sont les bons côtés d'internet. A bientôt 🙂🙂

You are doing an absolutely fantastic job. I am learning to improvise on Tenor sax and your transcriptions are super useful. I love Scott Hamilton’s style of playing. Very melodic, yet sophisticated. This is one of my favorite tunes.
