What a gift from your team this video is. I'm a Prof G devotee. I love listening to you on the Prof G podcast and Pivot. I only subscribed to CNN+ for more of your content. Sheesh, lest I sound like a stalker, let me explain. It's your ability to explain what's happening in this crazy world via excellet storytelling that compels me to seek out your content. Thank you for sharing your time and your talent with me and with the world.

I don't agree with everything Scott Galloway says, especially his politics, however the respect and found memories he shows for his mother is truly touching. Most kids do not care for their parents when they are alive and most definitely when pass.

The superintendent glosses over the fact that many teachers have left schools simply because of the nature of today's kids. Parents are dropping the ball on raising polite, emotionally stable, and sociable kids. Teachers have indicated that the kids are much of the reason why they left. Kids nowadays are hyper aggressive, rude, entitled, babied, and typically raised by a single mother that has coddled them all their lives making them uncapable of dealing with much of what the world will throw at them. And, teachers aren't having anymore of it. Appreciate your efforts Scott. Keep on keeping on.

Since it's a charter school, are they doing well because it's a good school, or are they doing well because they carefully select who they let in? Are they filtering out less successful students before they have a chance?

I know what you must be thinking of but I'd like to let you know about UNI HIGH. This is "an Affiliated Charter ". We are ABSOLUTLY all inclusive. We are an LAUSD PUBLIC SCHOOL and our enrollment functions in the same way... The affiliated "Charter" title allows us to include Parents, Students, Staff, and community leaders in governing. By being an Affiliated Charter our student leaders (the very ones you saw in the video) must also vote on substantive matters regarding our school. They are in attendance at EVERY Governing Council meeting. We at Uni take tremendous pride in the fact that our students come from every corner of Los Angeles reflecting the diversity of our global population. I promise you this school NEVER filters out but rather thrives on INCLUSION and lifting all students. "A high tide raises all ships". Ask some of the students excluded from other institutions who come to Uni. They'll tell you how we welcome our students with open arms. Come and visit Andrew! You will love it!!

Although I do respect Mr. Galloway and believe he has the knowledge and experience for incredible advice, it is hard for me to take this video seriously when I see him standing in front of a classroom speaking to kids who have a completely different background than he telling them to "work hard and it will pay off". Kids really only listen to people and concepts presented to them that has relevancy to themselves. That condo he grew up in that was purchased for his family was in a very upscale neighborhood in LA. I am happy for Mr. Galloway that he was fortunate enough to have have been taken care so well but most families do not have such an easy time, especially POC. This video is part of the problem.

There is nothing like being "outward with my emotions" to a person I admire and have affection for and tell them I admire them and support them FOR YEARS for it to mean nothing and one day be swatted down. You never noticed me, never acknowledged me, only the one time when I made what I would consider an innocuous comment about not giving CNN money DESPITE my admiration for your work. Hmm. With all empathy to Ronnie, something about this presumptuous idea that not having a college education makes you lesser than and disadvantaged rubs me the wrong way. It's more indoctrination than reality and forces a lot of young adults to uproot from their interests and spend the rest of their life semi-lost in the wilderness without the skills to pay the bills. The overstated importance of college and it's strong signalling towards women is how gentleman's clubs get stocked, but that's not going to have a chart of the week.
