I love at the end that he just looks at her kind of like "my concerts are being sold out and my own daughter is crying because I'm singing"...nothing more humbling than a child's honest opinion. That being said...I could listen to either brother sing for the rest of my life and be perfectly content.

Whenever I'm having a bad day I come and watch this video and get happy.

My 8 year old has been watching this on repeat for an hour. This made my heart so happy today.

when he says "come on, baby! sing it!", my heart melts. he is such a good man.

That is so something my son would do. How adorable and he is so talented to keep right on playing

I'm agnostic and I've never had an interest in gospel music...but I absolutely adore this. Record a gospel album, and I'll buy it too!

I used to do this to my dad sometimes when he would play his guitar, now I'm always telling him to get it out & play! Lol

Our loved ones are sometimes are greatest critics.

What a show of experience on stage. Your daughter is grabbing your hands, you can still keep the song going. Love how he gets a hand free, and starts to play again. How fun.

That was super cute to watch! I love how he smiles at her and keeps singing and OMG...she is so stinkin' cute!!

When your Daddy is a huge music star, but you are 3 yrs old & you rule the world. I remember seeing an interview with Robin Williams & his little boy said, "Can you please stop being funny and just be my Dad?" I also saw an interview with Faith Hill & her daughter said , "Mommy, how come you've never won a Grammy?" Faith said, "I have won 3, but your Daddy & I leave that fame at the door."Our kids set us straight, every time, always. And that is a GOOD THING!

Something I remember from working in a medical setting is that beautiful songs like this would often cause uncontrollable weeping with the patients and residents. Organs seemed to cause the most grief. The patients and their friends told me the same thing regarding the cause of such sadness, and that is that this music all brought back memories of church services with loved ones being present. It especially reminded everyone of those dreaded funerals and all of the sadness involved.

Fantastic pure spontaneous entertainment. Anyone with children will understand.

First time I heard that song was in the movie, “Cool Hand Luke”. Love it even with the little girl backup vocal.

One day that little girl will grow up with children of her own. That man will be gone from this earth. She'll watch this video in tears wishing to hear him again while her child cries and begs her to stop playing that video. That child will then grow up with children... The Avett Brothers have saved my life many of times. I thank whatever is out there for music, especially theirs.

This is a song that I sing with my 4 sisters often, so I was looking forward to hearing his version. This made me LOL so hard! I have 5 children, so I can relate to multitasking...just adding to the million reasons why I love this family so much!

When you have no idea that your dad is a legend...

This is great. I would love to hear more of these good old songs and some hymns. One of the tricky things about these old tunes is to not over produce them. Most of them stand well on there own without another party changing them up to fit the artist. Let the artist make their own little touch, then LEAVE IT ALONE. And His daughter did distract from the song, but that is a part of life. No one is to be blamed. Good parenting.
