Marvelous machine but poor illustration specially how the boat is transferred at the top of the wheel. Need better video angles.

not sure about some of the pronunciation in this video. Falkirk, Edinburgh, Corinth
I read about this in Popular Science in 1920. I was born in '60...wait,what?

This is for other people, who not read Popular Science, from the beginning of last century.
I'd rather be a tugboat than a ship. Yes, I would. If I only could, I surely would.
Some job building this

Great video. But it's pronounced "Edinburrah"

Now anyone with the IQ of a Microbe will realise there is no curvature as water always finds its Level.

Was watching doc with wife and daughter last week, and this showed up. Got them thinking for themselves
A bit of Scottish over engineering, but looks cool as hell. I wonder what the maintenance costs are as this gets older?
Awesome

The two most common and accepted pronunciations for Edinburgh are the short 'ED-in-bruh' and the longer 'ED-in-bur-uh'. It should not be pronounced like Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
Scottish unit walk out of (A)& up or down some steps then re enter & get going in (B)
It pains me to hear how you pronounce places like Glasgow, Falkirk and Edinburgh. Glas-go - please say it like that. Glasgow Fall-kirk - fall as in fall over. Falkirk. Eh-din-buh-rah - Edinburgh. I’m Scottish and hearing anyone say it wrong properly does my nut right in lol.

@@Azureecosse mate shut up. Chill pill? I’m giving people the correct pronunciation. That’s called trying to be helpful. Nothing bitey about it. Would you rather them continue saying glass-cow, a fhallkirk or that abomination of an attempt at saying Edinburgh? Wind yer neck in.
