This is their Teen Spirit! The monster hit that launched them into the Big time! And playing Big Stadiums as Headliners! I remember when it came out it blew me away and I played it over and over in a loop! I couldn’t get enough of this song! I like the way it drives forward and Meines vocals! 👏🏻🎸😎

Like a lot of you are saying. It was overdubbed from the studio album. I'm not complaining. I like the pantomime to their music. Awesome band.

That was Peters Popshow in early 80s.The most of Bands came usualy for 2 or 3 Songs and went off the stage.The Show lasted for 2 or 3 hours.It was not possible to change the equipment for 30 Bands in one Show..

that's a stupid german thing.... every band in germany has to do playback. The reason is probably the sound and the capturing. Not that the bands make mistakes. In german tv shows famous music acts are really common. They play one song and then they go. Even Kreator were playback, when they did Satan is real in german TV.

Let's hope Peter's Pop Show releases this with the original audio at some point, I saw them on this tour, they don't need to have a backing track, they were doing it live. It's almost a shame that a full show seems to have been pro shot but the audio lifted off the Albums. It is a shame if the original broadcast was this studio audio and not the live feed.

if i was in a band, I would do a "live" recording in the studio in case I ever had to lip sync. that way it wouldn't be a dead on version of the album, give it sound a little different there for people with think you were actually playing live

@@jaakkorahkola2430 I think so too. 0:45 "a night of sin"... doesn't quite match up with Klaus' mouth at the end of that phrase. 0:56, the guitar "chigging" doesn't quite match his hands on the fretboard. It's close, but no cigar. 3:58, the scream doesn't quite match Klaus' mouth again. There's so many people there, that they have to be playing live. I think they paired the audio from a different performance with this video, and did lots of fast edits to cover that up. It's very close, though. They did a good job. Compare it to the audio for this live performance. Same song, same year, but in California: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kY6dt86Af6a3pNo.html Notice how the sound isn't as perfect and doesn't sound like a near-carbon-copy of the studio version? Notice how the band is more concerned with playing the song and less concerned with the theatrics and jumping around?

Can it be more obvious. Jabs & Schenker aren't even hitting the notes being played. But yes, a complete lipsync as well as 100% sampled performance. Unfortunately that was the norm in the '80s. Its playback Matthias isnt putting in much effort or feel because its not real. When they play live you know they are playing, sadly music tv only wanted playback then.

I have seen the Scorpions 3 or 4 times live. Something about this performance does not sit right with me. It sounds a little too exact to the recording. Don't get me wrong, it sounds fantastic, but it sounds a little too much like a recording.
