1. Because he borrowed too much from Hendrix 2. He’a not pretty, 3. Hasn’t changed his clothing style or shaved the stache in 50 years 4. He did his best work in a 3 year span of Scorpions when they were not popular yet. 5. Has been very inconsistent in his output since leaving Scorpions and was unknown to everyone except diehards 6. Being the worst singer on Earth didn’t help his chances for stardom. His electric sun albums sold ten copies. 7. Writing poetry for lyrics, while infinitely more admirable than scorpions lyric trash of the 80’s, doesn’t help make you a rock star.

I guess it is because Scorpions never really made it in America until They became more mainstream than having a more guitar-driven sound. Most people who hear their songs are unaware that the earlier ones, with Uli, even exist. Same with the early Chicago ones that featured Kath.

The Scorpions have had some of the best guitarists ever in music. Uli Jon Roth & Michael Schenker stand out.

I Love them, Always Have , Always Will . They have a Very Special Place in My Heart, as a child I Grew Up with Their Music and I Had The Honor of Scorpions To Be MY FIRST ROCK CONCERT EVER , After Dreaming for over 15 plus years. I still remember the Shock of Me seeing the Mountains of Stacked Up Speakers as I was entering the Stadium. What an Amazing Concert It Was. Fucking A+++!!!❤️‍🔥🤟🌹Unfortunately it was in the early 90's way before this mini computers as phones today, Way better anyway. All these phones out today is bollocks. In the old days was lighters out!😉. It still was way too far out of the KZread creation where you could find your younger memories, because joking aside even if they have left a strong print they still start slowly to fade away. That's Life. What I mean is I queued for The First Ever Metallica's Concert in my home country 12 hours directly under The Very Hot Sun 50°C+ if not more in a Extremely strong summer heat in my home country, nowhere good enough or strong shade and all that just to be at the front line at the barriers in front of the stage and the whole stadium pushing behind you. People fainting outside, inside, left, right and centre. The guards were throwing buckets of water in the crowd at 10 pm was still 30°C. Everything in The UK will go Tits Up , Roads , Train Lines, Schools, A&E's and the rest of warning the whole population if they get such a summer here. BUT WHEN YOU ARE YOUNG YOU CAN TAKE IT ON. Only decades later I discovered on KZread official recording of The Concert from the Archive of The National Television only to find out that the camera /cameraman must've been stationary, because I could see every time on the front row the same bunch of lucky fuckers, but not my baby face 😠.It Pissed off The Fuck Out of Me. Lucky WANKERS.🖕 LOOK At The Epic AC/DC Live at The River Plate Released Album, but at the same time you can watch all videos on KZread in the order you like it. All Those People with the Close Up Camera Shots of All those fans Rocking and they are immortalised for their blood line, family, kids and even grand kids. In Dec'24 it will be 15 Years. That's enough for even the young ones to have kids of their own by now. "Look Son/Baby , That's How We Were Rocking Out, The Right Way!" I mean my Son didn't believe me for nearly a decade that I've been in the army, until his Nan came over and by fluke she had some of my photos to be able to rub it in his noise. He is singing different song now. I don't think there is anyone left in the world who can measure-up as a vocalist as Klaus Meine in the World and after over 5 decades it looks like his voice is still as pleasant as it has always been. I don't think they are similar to chuck berry and I'm glad because chuck berry made a song called my ding'a ling and that's one of the reasons I don't like rap and r&b as much as I used to is because all they sing about is body parts and sex , while rock music is a love relationship and how to handle life and problems and about dancing and partying and family

Rock music is mainly about life because in rock music people sing about problems they are going through and rock music is about relationship because a bunch of Rockstars sing about love p.s. chuck Berry is the father of rock music he was the first person to sing rock music and he is known as the father of rock, Elvis wasn't really rock he was mainly country music

De acuerdo con tu comentario, es muy notoria la influencia de Uli sobre Yngwie Malmsteen, yo digo que es el alumno más sobresaliente de el, es solo cuestión de escuchar sails of charon y darnos cuenta que no puede negar que lo idolatra (junto a Ritchie Blackmore en la parte neoclásica), un guitarrista muy completo Uli, lastima que después de scorpions perdió relevancia en su carrera en solitario y no tuvo buena época en los noventa ni en la siguiente, creo que le faltó haber concretado un proyecto a largo plazo (unirse a otra banda y creo que ahí hubiera mantenido ese grandísimo nivel de los años setenta).

This was when rock was rock. I don't know what happened to good old fashioned rock n roll, but it sure could use a revival.

Sabbath, Priest, and the Scorpions really did set the bar high for metal. I saw them once. They opened for Van Halen on the Monsters of Rock tour in 1988 in the Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami. I don't really remember their set, but I do remember being very impressed with them. It gave me much more respect for them back then that still carries on to this day.
