Now that’s a huge crowd! In Brazil and Argentina they have big outdoor festivals and they love rock n roll. That looks like 100,000 people! Maybe more. Amazing! Back when the Scorpions were the hottest Rock band in the world!

This is the first Rock in Rio. 10 days in a row, 250 thousand people on the first day. Queen, Iron Maiden, Nina Hagen, Rod Stewart, Ozzy, AC/DC, Whitesnake, Yes and many others.

Scorpions ALWAYS AND FOREVER YOUNG!!!

Unbelievably Fantastic! Scorpions played 2 shows (15/01 & 19/01) in Rock in Rio'85.......this footage is from the first one on 15/01/1985 I was there on the 11/01 (Whitesnake/Iron Maiden and Queen) and 18/01 (Queen) What a great time to be alive!

Matthias is my favorite lead guitarist the Scorpions ever had.

@@jackcalt5337 Favorite doesn’t always mean better. Matthias is my favorite as well, but I recognize Roth’s ability and his style. I personally like Jabs style and the sound he gave the scorpions, more so than pre Jabs.

Saw this tour in Toronto f..king amazing and my gosh I've never seen a band use the entire stage ,they were ALL over place like a 'Fireball of Rock Energy". Go see these guys ....still LOL!

In 1979 I was 18 and had a friend named George (who I’ve lost touch with) who was 16. George called me up and said he had two tickets to the Aerosmith concert in Binghamton NY and his girlfriend had to cancel and thought I might be interested in going. The Scorpions were the opening act. The drinking age in NY was 18 at the time. Geaorge had not really drank alcohol before this. I bought us a six pack to drink before the concert. Tuborg Gold, the beer of Danish Kings I believe. I also bought a bottle of Yukon Gold to smuggle into the concert. Once in while passing the Yukon Gold, before the concert started I realized the bottle of Yukon Jack was near empty and George wasn’t looking so hot. We raced to the restroom where George quickly ran to a stall and quickly barfed in the toilet only to discover there was someone passed out on the toilet. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life. We had to leave. George was a mess. So was the guy in the stall. I never saw Aerosmith or the Scorpions….. but I’ll never forget that concert.
