My son has NOT passed away. I said he was 16 years old in 2022. He is now 18 years old in 2024 and just graduated this week from high school.

Literally one of jtr best bands of all time. And the fact they're German and he sings in perfect English with no accent... Amazing.

I love this band, so this is said with love, and humor.. this interview, especially near the end, seems like what a good chunk of the dialog of the movie This Is Spinal Tap was based on.. yet this interview was a year after that movie was released. It makes you appreciate how accurate Spinal Tap was. The part about sex, drugs, and rock and roll could be pretty much in that movie, and some very similar dialog was in there in the closing credits.. in fact i would imagine the part about making love to the audience was something they would have loved to put in the movie if only they thought of that.

I find it wild that they had a hard time deciding if they were putting Bad Boys Running Wild on the album, as it was recorded live and presented on the record. Had they not, I never would have liked the Scorpions. My brother was playing the album and I heard it from his room that night and I was not into that music at all. The hardest I got into was Boston, so that says a lot. However, when I heard Matthias play the lead guitar, the tempo of the song sped up (from what the studio album was that I heard later and honestly didnt care for), and the thumping bass by Francis and of course the wonderful rhythm by Rudolph and singing of Klaus and the beat of Herman, I was like my virgin ears were opened up to the most AWESOME song I had ever heard. Of course, listening to that song over and over again, made me want to learn guitar which I have played now for 30 years and that led me to listen to the rest of the World Wide Live album, which made me want to listen to the rest of the Scorpions albums, which I will always think of them as much better live band than studio (Although Savage Amusement and Crazy World were quite good) and I have loved this band ever since 1987 when I first heard Bad Boys Running Wild (the World Wide Live version). Im very thankful that smarter heads prevailed and they kept this song on the album.

2:40 "one show from Cologne, West Germany...." Yup, that was just 4 years before communism failed completely and the iron curtain and Berlin wall came down. The Scorpions are such a great band, so awesome live, and still rockin out in 2022!
