Blue and white lamp is perfect in its original spot. Echoes the blue and white wallpaper and the height and scale work perfectly where it is now. I love the wood and brass lamp! I have faith you’ll find another place in your house to place!

The metal race horse rider is a classic 80’s trend desk toy. The feet of the jockey have points because they used to have a base that they would balance on. Just like the pendulum balls, the horse would rock for ages with just a little tap. The balls on the horses feet being the weights. Very common in the uK. Enjoy!
I like the original pottery lamp because of the contrast in color. You've got a lot of wood around, so the wood and brass lamp blends in more and the pottery stands out nicely.

I really enjoy your channel and your finds. What I like most about it is you explore everything!! Glad you don’t just show glassware. Really enjoy it when you show jewelry (my favorite) purses, clothes, shoes, dresses, pants, skirts, coats, jackets, tops, etc., which are all clothes, but specifically classified!! I think showing all your wares makes this a very interesting channel and one of the best. Variety is the spice of life!!

Lamp number one hands down….I feel it draws the blue to the other side of the room.
Lamp #1. That vignette needs a little color and the blue in the lamp ties in well with the wallpaper.
They are both great lamps. My vote is for the blue lamp #1 to stay in its spot.

I vote for the blue lamp. It works with the wallpaper.
Option #1 for the lamp. Not only does the contrast of the color and texture work well for the space but the drum shade is more visually appealing.
For your guest room I love the original blue lamp, it brightens and adds color. The lovely wood lamp feels too tonal to me. But it is lovely.

Leave the pottery lamp there. Not taking anything away from the tulip lamp, I love it.
Laura, I found a Bitossi today just sitting on a thrift store shelf. I tagged you on IG because I couldn’t think of anyone who would appreciate it more. So cool! I’m so excited.
The “ folk art” bird was a quetzal.. national bird of Guatemala .. a law was passed a few years ago forbidding wood items from being exported from Guatemala, sooooo these are going to become rarer..
After viewing your videos, I think Oregon has the best thrift and antique stores. Seems like people are attracted to the natural elements like woods, metals, pottery, and animals probably due to Oregon’s beautiful, natural landscape. Alot of things made with these elements wind up eventually at your Goodwills and vintage stores. Lucky you! Hope to make it up there one day.

I agree. I’m a bit partial to Oregon myself. I grew up there, but I’ve been transplanted over my lifetime to several other states. My hope is to get back to Oregon permanently one day. Meanwhile, I spend every bit of time I can going back for visits. It’s one reason I’m drawn to Laura and one or two other KZreadrs from there.

Laura. since the rooster has a hole in both ends, I'm wondering if it might have been a lamp at some point. Also I LOVE both lamp options, and think that each would look great anywhere in your house. I like the blue and white pottery lamp. The scale, shape and texture give a cohesiveness with your other decor and the blue picks up the color in your wall paper in your beautiful room.
I like the blue lamp. It helps to pull in your wallpaper color. Also the scale of it is better than the teak one. Love your channel!
I like lamp #1 for the height and contrast
Lamp #1 brings in the blue from the sky in the window perfectly, so it makes it look more like the window is a painting and the lamp the perfect accent piece.
So very happy to see how much you and your husband enjoy searching for things together what a blessing.

Definitely the blue lamp in your guest room. It goes great with the lovely wallpaper.
The blue lamp works well .
Blue lamp for the win!! Looks so good and balances out perfectly. And I think the rooster was a lamp at one time, that is probably why there are holes in both ends. Great finds!
Keep the blue lamp. That room is already chockablock full of wood tones. The pottery lamp give a nice contrasting texture as well as compliments the blue in the wallpaper and bedding. I know you will have another spot in your home perfect for the new lamp😁
There’s a lot of wood in the room, in that sense, I like the pottery lamp. Having said that…I think I like lamp #2 (the wood lamp) better! 😆

I personally like Lamp #1. I is a nice contrast with the wood displayed already.
Hi Laura, not sure if anyone else has commented on your stainless man riding a horse but when I was a kid, my grandma had one like this. It came with a base where the prongs balanced on it and it would rock back and forth. It's awesome!
I like the blue lamp because it just adds more pop to that desk. I absolutely love the wooden lamp and would definitely use it in my house! I’m sure you will find the perfect spot for it!!
Lamp #1 definitely! Both are beautiful! My Aunt just showed me your thrifting shows and I am hooked! I love the way you talk directly to US and involve US in your trips. Describing how to take of pieces and your ideas are great. The penguin “moments” are so funny! Well, you and your husband are absolutely great together and have a new fan here in South Louisiana! My aunt and I love thrifting. Glad she told me about your show. By the way, she’s a big fan too!♥️
I like lamp number one!! It ties in the blues of the book and pottery pieces.
I haven’t seen the horse n rider for years. If he’s the same as the one I had as a child, then he’s a kinetic mover and needs his stand to reach full potential. Pretty cool without though. There’s a whole range of them. Great finds as always. 🐴
@jenniferstark4834

They were pretty popular and would rock back and forth or spin depending on the piece. 😊

The horse rider is a balancing act from the 80's. He's not supposed to stand on the horses legs but on the rider's legs, standing on a book or the back of a chair (they used to come with stands) and then it rocks back and forth and can hold its balance. I'm 99%sure this guy is part of that series. All the kids had a version of that balancing guy where I'm from
@shannongrace2578

@@thornyback Yes, we had one when I was a kid (probably had around the early 70's). It came with a little stand that it would sit on and would balance & rock.
I like lamp #1.I love how you have it styled.
Hello Laura…great video!!! Love your style❤ The rooster was a lamp in former life. A rod would go Through the hole in his head…he’s super cute!!!
Blue lamp 😊 I love how you did ur guest bedroom!
I would stay with the blue. Love it and I think it balances with the wall paper.
The ceramic vase is nice and adds texture and contrast to the existing predominance of wood in the room, and it's shape compliments the candlesticks. HOWEVER, the wooden lamp wins my vote for two reasons. The organic shape provides excellent contrast and intrigue, balancing the predominance of geometric shapes throughout the room. Also, that particular alcove created by the dressertop, room corner and window trim literally makes the lamp base POP!! NO CONTEST! I would change out the candlesticks for either metal or ceramic, and add color ( BRIGHT blue) in one or two of the objects on the tray. Whew! That was a long explanation....
After you started highlighting how the penguin ice buckets seem to be indiscriminately spreading everywhere, I started looking for them at the shops I frequent in Illinois. They're not as common here! However did find a pristine older one with Bakelite handles and knob that I had to buy! It's now part of my fixtures at my parties!❤️
I think the tulip lamp works better than the lottery lamp. Something about scale just works better.
The blue lamp. The wood one gets lost with all the other wood.
All the scrabble pieces would look so cute in a glass apothecary jar on a bookshelf. ❤

What I love about your channel is that I always learn something new every time.
Love all of your finds. I do think the blue & white pottery lamp if best as it ties everything together beautifully. Thanks to you & Jesse for sharing your time & travels with everyone❤
Both of your lamps are beautiful, but I find the wooden one is too much wood in a small space. If the wall were painted or papered, I might choose it because the size is perfect. However, I love the colour and bulk at the bottom of the ceramic one., so I would leave the ceramic one there.
The horseman originally came with a stand and the riders feet rested on it and the horse and rider rocked.
Thanks for asking. :D Go blue for the win, Laura! Your latest sculptural treasure is amazing. But, however, the wood color blends in with the rest of the adjacent accessories instead of popping like the blue. The blue lamp also unifies the room by repeating the blue color in the wall paper.
I love the original lamp with blue accents in that spot. The other new lamps are fabulous. Love your channel, thank you ❤
Hi Laura! I like the blue and white lamp. I brightens up the space.
Lamp #1, like how the blue and white goes with the wallpaper. Fabulous shops today!! Is Jesse going to serve you breakfast in bed with the new tray??

Lamp #1 looks the best
I love your new tulip lamp but I prefer lamp #1 in that setting. It balanced out all of the wood in the area.
The tulip lamp looks so cool in that space!
Wow lovely items collected . Enjoy collecting and reselling . With live from SAM Guwahati, Assam, India 🇮🇳 ♥️
Def the blue and white lamp . It ties in the accent wall.
I love both lamps, but I think lamp #1 needs to stay put. Like others have said, I like how it brings some blue to that corner. Lamp #2 is gorgeous, but it kind of blends in in that spot & it needs it’s own moment to shine :) xo
Lamp one (I like that its' color matches the sky. And it just fits the space so well. A white shade would make it pefect in my minds eye.) Thanks for taking us along...my kind of shops. Take care. 🙂
The metal horse would originally balance on a narrow , cylindrical stand which would hold the jockeys legs, and you could then let the horse rock back and forth. I had one in the 1970s.
While I absolutely adore the tulip lamp, I think the pottery lamp's contrast, design and scale works better in that guest room space. So many wonderful finds. THE JACKS! THE BIRDS! You have fabulous vintage out in Oregon!
The iron lamb at 11:40 is something from Germany. In former times people took it to make a special cake for Easter. So this baking pan is officially called „Easter-lamb“. I am German and I have one that looks just the same. It was handed to me by my grandmother and she had it from her mother. You can buy new„Easter-lamb“-baking pans now, but the heavy iron ones are very old. 🙂

When I was living in NYC, my friend from CT made the Easter lamb cake from her mother's (or grandmother's?) antique mold. As you probably know, the baker covers the cake with coconut flakes to simulate the white lamb's wool. So fun!

We make them yearly. Some years we need toothpicks for the head. We always do pound cake. The decorating after is the fun part. We bake it a few days before Easter and freeze it so when decorating, it makes it easier.

Although I love the tulip lamp, I have to vote for the 1st. one. This lamps texture reminds me of the little pot you purchased from George. Rooster looks like it was a lamp at one time. Tfs🥰
I prefer the pottery lamp as it adds blue to the opposite side of the wallpaper. The wood lamp is beautiful but the dresser needs some contrast. I think you could make a lamp of the chicken with the larger hole in the bottom and smaller hole in the top. Oregon is blessed to have so many fabulous antique and thrift stores!

Lamp #1 looks best with the blue room
I think the blue one shows up better!
The tulip lamp is more pleasing to my eye in that space to me.
Lamp #2 looks amazing in your guest room!
Lamp #1 in that space. The tulip lamp is divine.
I love the pottery lamp. There’s more of a contrast with the wooden items. The tulip lamp is absolutely gorgeous, but would stand out better elsewhere. I love your style!
My vote is for lamp #1
Lamp number one brings in your colors. Lamp timer for two is fabulous and I’m sure there’s other places where you can put it.
Those places were phenomenal. They had so much good vintage. When you do some videos can you show us your OOTD or maybe purchase some clothing/jewelry pieces. Then show us how you'd style them. I'd also love a closet update now thay you're moved in. You've got such great style.
I LOVE BOTH LAMPS BUT THE ALL-WOOD LOOK OF THE FLOWER LAMP IN THE MIX IS LOVELY!
I think the dog is a letter opener. Both lamps are great but I think I would keep the blue one up there to go with the wall color and it is bigger and fits the space well. The chrome horse rider is cool. I think he would be great on a minimal styled book shelf. It feels Bauhaus. The rooster needs to be a lamp with the two holes!
I like the tulip light lamp on the table
I love lamp 1 in that space. Best of luck choosing one. 🙂
I think I like the new lamp for that space. The shape is beautiful.
Both lamps are beautiful in the room but my fav for the spot is the ceramic one. You have a lot of wood in the room and I think, from a design perspective, the ceramic one is the best choice.
Lamp #2 adds more warmth to the space.
Lamp 2 gives a warm comfortable vibe for a bedroom
I actually like the blue lamp better. Both are beautiful lamps but the blue one makes the area pop!❤️
Laura, love your videos! My friend and I recently tried to replicate one of your Oregon Coast videos starting in Aurora. Fun! Someone else may have told you this-I didn’t make it through all the comments but the horse “back massager” should have a base where the rider’s pointy feet would rest as he rocks back and forth! Keep up the good work!
Wow - you found some really gorgeous stuff this trip. As for the lamp debate, I love the wood one but if you do use it, I think you might need to restyle the console adding more blues to that side of the room. The other lamp did that very effectively, so a win-win, as either lamp is beautiful and fits well in the room.❤️
Lamp 2 Laura, such a beautiful lamp.
Although I L-O-V-E, love both lamps & think that they both look great. But, it's "Lamp #1" all day long. However, if you decide to switch up the other decor on the dresser to integrate more color & less wood than it's "Lamp #2". I can't believe that I'm saying this but, as the decor is now... there's too much wood. Anyway, that's my vote & the reason for the controversy! Love the channel, great content & you & Jesse are a match made in the stars ✨⭐! Good vibes from Southern California! 🌞
Stay with the blue lamp; it picks up the wallpaper colours and makes for a more cohesive look.
Wood lamp for sure! Better size for the space,it also looks more like Lilly of the valley than tulips, its stunning
Thanks for another wonderful video. I vote for Lamp # 1
Hot lava in real life is humbling. Even looking at dried up mountains of it is mind boggling… Big island Hawaiis volcano is flowing right now. We were lucky enough to see it while we were living there. U should go!
The new lamp is beautiful but the blue and white lamp looks perfect there. The guest bedroom looks amazing, now we just need to become friends so I can get myself an invite! 😉
