Guy, you are certainly welcome sight in my recommend feed. Your enthusiastic personality and love of music is truly a treasure. Every time I see your name pop up in the credits of something I beam knowing that you probably had a blast writing the soundtrack. Merry Christmas and I hope you keep being awesome for many years to come.

Aloha Guy! My take away is how much work it really takes to do that 20 second bit. Animated score has its anxieties - so much going on and so important. Reminds me of the animated feature I scored for Roger Corman Aladins Adventure of All-Time. So stressed, 3 weeks to score and deliver. Merry Christmas.
This is genius but also intimidating for a total beginner like me, seems like magic. Merry Christmas Guy!!

Its teaching me so much and you're such a wholesome teacher, it's so cool to see how music is made behind the scenes its so cool and you put so much love into your scores! These are amazing ^^
How am I only seeing this today? This is a fantastic tutorial THAANK YOU!!!
Im working on my final project for my animation undergrad and this is the EXACT video I needed. Thank you so much for the love you put into your work, you really brighten my day.
“Would you like a piano to help you fall down the stairs?” Haha that struck me so funny especially with his accent
I could watch you all day Guy, honestly. Simply brilliant! Wishing you all the best for Notmas and 2021.

I'm hearing "Peter and the wolf" variation of this! The basic theory of symphonic interpretation of the story telling is in this.
wow! Absolutely fascinating the mental process and method.
Thank you so much for this timely education. Fascinating stuff.
So much to learn from you, thank you so much.

Super impressive. Thanks for sharing.
Making the intro: 60% of the work. Re-arranging some stuff to make it fit a bit nicer: 20% of the work. Getting to the actual action: "And I'll just hit 5 random notes, then drag them out manually to make 5 random chords"
This is totally awesome Guy! Learned tricks and tips from the Master! More blessing to you Guy from Manila Philippines. Been using Cubase Pro 10.5 lately and I love it!

Seasons greetings guy, I was wondering if you could tell me what you are using to control abbey road one longs, swells pads as I've tried mapping pads on my midi controller but nothings happening HELLLLP ;) LOVING THE VIDS
Superb as always.... you would be expected to do wall-to-wall music for this type of project, I'd imagine? That must feel quite daunting.
Great scoring to look at, Guy. Thanks! If this would be a finished scored cue, would you turn the music down in relation to the dialogue, or would this be acceptable?
Here!
In Cubase 11 you can view the marker track in the editor
Brilliant, Guy! One major problem for me is that I would never have thought of doing those things that you did, which fit the scene very nice. So, some pointers on how to actually imagine the right sounds for certain types of scenes would be VERY helpful. Maybe there is some in the Scoring to Picture course? I have that, but haven't gotten into yet.
@NickHoad

I'm not sure how you would teach something like that but in this video, Guy was being very cliche (in terms of the harmony) in order to speed things up. The first two chords for example are kind of "stock" evil chords that show up all over the place. I think it's just a case of listening to a lot of music and figuring out what works for certain scenes and what doesn't. I imagine there's also a lot of trial and error involved.
I'd love to do this, it's so interesting, and fun... Is the program Kontakt ??? Subscribed, atb Lee
Guy, I am a huge fan from the USA. I would love to be able to do what you do by producing music for movies and video games, but I am married with young children and a full time teaching job. Equipment wise I have the Akai Mpk mini and Cubase Le 8. What advice would you give me for taking this strong desire to the next level with limited time and equipment? Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in a corner, wishing I knew how to wiggle my way out.
Anyone know the name of software which records your piano playing and displays it as colours and notes as seen in all other KZread videos?
I am wondering why you instinctively rendered the synth track but not e.g. a string's track. Very helpful video! Thank you Guy!

any chance of getting that little snippet of timecoded clip to fool around with?

Guy, what do you do to assign that render in place to your screendeck? There does not appear to be a hot key for render in place to bind to anything. How did you achieve this miracle?
@ThinkSpaceEducation

Assign a key command to render in place in cubase and then add it to stream deck
what are all the different instrument plug ins you have
Hi Guy! How much time does it take to sound one episode?
Guy, do you group the video and audio track together? I never saw you do or mention this, but when I import a movie and then drag the video, it becomes out of sync with the audio track.
Hello, I also want to do this exercise. Where can I find the source of the video?
I have 2 questions about the process. I'm making my own animation series and I've created my own original soundtrack for it. However, I don't have the program that you are using for it. Is it wise to create your own songs ahead of time of the animation process to get the feeling of the scene? My second question is if people can't gain access to the program to it, what other methods can be done to achieve the same effect?

Please do a synthwave track with UVI Workstation, Lord Michelmore.
@Guy Michelmore i did make this example Video Yesterday for training. But what to do now? Put it to my KZread Channel and after this send you a Mail. I need much longer top translate your instructions because no subtitles. I am not aware the fees are paid? Because of the footage. I guess you did use RX8 or something. If i say i did Pass i come to the next step or have No more Access?
Thanks for covering an important genre. With this training, talented stop motion animators can create sound and music for their amazing videos. The Gold Puffin KZread channel shows what they do with Lego (TM) sets.
If I subbed by mail How it's named to find?
Hi guy your video looks a bit fuzzy compared to your other videos still very watchable though.

After watching your videos I always have a slight British accent. For some reason I pick up on accents very easily
Wonderful! I love that you Brits hold on to the Advent Calendar tradition. Sadly, it’s withered here in the States. Two thoughts: 1) Did you really need to provide those chords to each bounce down the steps, since the soundtrack provided the “boings?” They seem to fight with each other. (Just my opinion.) 2) Did you notice how closely King Cracker’s throne resembles the Iron Throne from GoT? That could have pulled you into an entirely different direction. Thanks.
