I'm rewatching this and just noticed that Hank and Stefan are wearing the same shirt. ;D
@fanq_

@Cerulean Skigh I think hank made a video on vlogbrothers or hankschannel where he showed a rack of like 30 shirts they've got for filming, or it could just be a coincidence...
lol "Human puppies, also known as "children" :D I laughed way too hard :P
"Human puppies, also known as children" Don't know why that made me laugh a lot
I love her laugh LOL. Also what kind of experiment requires you to hold puppies and yawn? I would like to sign myself right away.

Alan Bockelman I think they probably have a bunch of shirts specifically for filming, so that plaid shirt is probably one of them. Most likely Stefan and Hank just grabbed the same shirt when they were filming.

In one of Michael's vlogs, there was this rack with clothes on it so I'm assuming they just keep a bunch at the workplace and grab a shirt when they need one. For example, if someone wore green on a day where they needed to film, they could grab another shirt from the rack :)

"Puppies are like fuzzy potatoes."--Hank Green
FYI I think the score totals are off. At 5:57 it reads L=1000 / H=800 Both Incorrect - both lose 100 points So At 7:31 where it reads L=800 / H=800 It should be L=900 / H=800 Lindsey does not answer -100? / Hank is correct +100 So for last round at 8:15 where it reads L=800 / H=800 It should have Hank at 900. and Lindsey at either 800 (losing 100 from previous round) or at 900 if there is no penalty for not having given an answer. So either L=800 / H =900 or L=900 / H=900 Luckily, either way, Hank ends up winning.

Oh, but the temptation to just create lots of really obscure rules for the fun of it would be too strong. Like, "if Hank is present and wearing a purple shirt, the other player must subtract from their score a number equal to five times the height of Michael's left knee, measured in light-nanoseconds."
@austinherby9218

But the current rules always screw up Hank. Where's the fun in changing that?

I think it would be nice for the patrons whom Hank is playing for to have at least a glimmer of hope that Hank might win for them.
Patreon subscriber here (& donator), fan of this show! Would like to mention that I think the yawning study about dogs and puppies has a third element to consider that would pose that yawning has less to do with empathy, but more to do with how we are affected by the energy or emotions of those around us as animals have super sensitivities to each other. I notice that people yawn even when they don't see or hear others nearby yawning. I also notice that people laugh when people nearby are laughing, even though they don't hear or see the original laughter. Bottomline- I think that we can temporarily gauge how others feel in close proximity to each other with out any conscious sensory processing taking place. So we might be slightly affected by one's yawn, but that's not to say that one yawn will make us as tired as the sleepy person that dealt it. Just that we can receive and feel the emotion as being near our environment. We are connected, we are sensitive to each other. My heart doesn't go out to a person that yawns, that's not why I yawn.

I just recently discovered michael's personal yt channel and the vlog brothers, and I cant help but be amazed at the world's apart difference of how he speaks and exudes that ultra smart masculine confidence here to his funny antics from the yesteryears. (I just watched some of his videos from 7-8 years ago)
I think that that question about dogs not being able to recognise themselves in a mirror is the first Sci Show Quiz Show question I've got right in a long time!
Hank's offense at being called 'creative' made me nearly cry laughing.
Lindsay is just always so happy on these videos, I love it!
I love watching Scishow Quiz Show, because it makes me feel good when I know more than the Scishow cast on some topics.
I love how excited Dr. Doe was.

Great episode. I'm going to go watch puppy videos now :-)
Hello guys :) great episode!! Could you pls explain blue moons next or maybe consider it? :) thanks! Your content are always super awesome love you guys! Hank, yuuuu daaaa maaaannnn!!!
The final-round question was a piece of cake. I can't believe they didn't get them all right.
"Human puppies, known as children," I'm officially calling kids that now.
What disease causes you not to be able to eat sesame seeds? What causes it? And what happens if you do eat them? By the way, I love sic show and I I've learned some crazy things! Keep up the awesome work
I went to a (small) physics conference (mostly just a few talks with Physicists from London - where I am a student) based around the Year of Light and, even so, I didn't know about that first question's link to the 1000th anniversary of showing light is detected by our eyes. It's actually more wondrous to me to hear how people believed sight to be caused by sending out beams from within rather than absorbing of emitted/reflected light from the outside incident on the eye.
"human puppies, also known as children" this episode was so funny i can't stop laughing
Whoah, I just realized that Hank was on the KZread Rewind 2014! How cool!!
I think the is the first scishow quiz show that Iv watched that hank has won lol
I knew the answer to the first one because it was discussed in an episode of Cosmos with NDT.
This video is so cute, I wish that I Could give more than one thumbs up.
7:13 Sorry Michael I was already saying "Awww!" Oh my god puppies so cute!!!! 😂
Oh Lindsey... Great video guys!
Nice episode!
I love Dr. Doe. She is the best!
This was uploaded on my birthday woo
Great new look, Dr. Doe!!! Yum!
I knew the mirror one! I feel so smart.
Well, I got all of the dog questions right. And that's enough for me! AHAHAA
I am one of these "older" watcher of Sci-Show (is 40 old?) an Dr. Doe is one of the lovelies ladies I've seen here.
ONIONS! You need to bookmark some pages. XD
"Human puppies _also known as children_-" Pft I laughed like a big doofus at this XD
oh shit shes baaaaack. lookin as good as ever. bang. bang bang bang.
Don't worry Hank I'm a sesame seed enthusiast too
My favorite line: "Human puppies, also known as children...."
I was like "Nate Parsons? I've heard that name before" Then I realised I was thinking about Nat Parson, who is a character in Runemarks.
I absolutely adore Lindsay Doe.
I knew the puppy mirror one!
05:00 XD That was adorable.
I actually knew the second one :)

Or he's owned a female dog before, b/c vets will tell you to get them spayed at around 5 months of age.
The last part seemed kinda easy. One's obviously a counting system, one sounds Roman, one is a weird adjective and then we use deduction
This episode is a good cross section of the internet: a little science, lots of puppies, then lots of sex.
Most awkward episode of sci show ever. Loved it.
I like how the presenter assumed the dog was female.
Love you doe.
That last one was easy. Sextarius: roman name (latin ending -us), sexagesimal: sounds like a number base like decimal, sextans: sounds like sextant, bissextile: process of elimination.
Hank made a video about what dogs shouldn't eat, and onions was on the list.
"Human puppies, also known as children." - Michael Aranda, 2015
Who knew that my mandatory science elective in university (Ancient Science and Technology) would actually prove useful! I knew so many of the answers!
Just happened to be getting my first puppy ever tomorrow xD
Well I got all the dog ones right. As a dog owner I take pride in that :D
Hank you are my hero
Jason Saslow was lucky enough to have her play for him.
Numeral system with sixty as its base is a sexagesimal. Unit of measuring volume in ancient rome is a Sextan Adjective to describe leap years is a BISSEXTILE remnant is sextarius. (i guessed before they revealed the answers @9:34

"Human puppies or also know as children"😂😂
I have a chart of what foods dogs cant eat and mushrooms are on there as well. Not sure if its just wild mushrooms or all mushrooms.
"It's not creative!" "..mkay" hah
Haha, I KNEW Lindsey was going to wager 690 points!
"Haank woon - biig suprise" hehe
"..human puppies, also known as children.." :D
4:53 Didn't they do a show relating to dogs? They did, and they said onion was poisonous, and I commented on it. Oh, this is an older video...
Calvin and Suzie Derkins grow up to be contestants on Hobbes' game show.
Hey I got them all right! Huzzah!
Hank, I have Crohn's myself, and I didn't laugh at the sesame seed thing. I knew, man, I knew.....
does anyone else notice that hank had 800 points at 7:30 but had had again at 8:16 even though hank would of still won i think it is pretty funny
Go Hank!
"Human puppies, also known as children..." XD
Human puppies made me giggle.
I have a dog so i knew the answers to those and also the optics one was easy because it took common sense to recognize which did not belong
Got all of the last four correct by my knowledge of language
It's always a pleasure seeing Dr. Doe. I was rooting for her....Sorry Hank.
Dr. Doe's dress is so pretty!!
I was guessing on the last question and i did not pause it so i only guessed 2 out of four but my guesses were right!!!!
OMG! I just gave my roommates dog some onion the other day. Like just a couple scraps very small pieces. its a french bulldog and he seems okay. but holy sheet!
