As someone who has finished their first year in Med, one of the first things we were told is that as doctors, we will not have the magical answer to fix all your problems, we engage toward a solution that best fits the situation at the time being, as that situation changes we change our approach accordingly, doctors won’t be right all the time, they can’t tell the future, again nor do they have the magical solution that will fix all your problems, but they do treat the best they can, and yes some doctors are stubborn, but most are just trying to do their job, they are humans, not prophets.

Me and a few others contracted leishmaniasis. When I was serving on a deployment in Afghanistan from 09-10. We could have brought it over when transporting our things back from overseas. I was treated at the Nato base called Camp Marmal at the time. They did a biopsy to confirm it was Leishmaniasis. Then they froze it and cut it off the best they could and gave me a shot of who knows what after. Which made me sick for a week and a few days. They came back from deployment only to have three more biopsy done to make sure it was gone.

@@AnymMusic Yes, I know what you mean. Several years ago, my mother had trouble eating. No matter what she ate, she would gag on it and spit it up. My sister asked a doctor what to do about it, and all he could say was "Give your mom some Din-u-tap" (I think that's how it's spelled). As might be expected, that didn't help mom at all! Anyway, while she was in the hospital, another doctor examined her, and he said that there was some kind of blockage in her throat that was making the food go into her lungs instead of her stomach, that it was causing her to aspirate, and was even giving her pneumonia! He suggested that mom should be fed intravenously, but both mom and sis said "No" to it. Unfortunately, there wasn't much we could do about it. We tried to help mom to eat, but it was no use, and she became so sick and weak, we had to help her go to the bathroom. As if that wasn't bad enough, she was becoming so emaciated, she looked almost like a skeleton! In fact, when she was in the hospital again, a social worker actually accused my sister and I of deliberately neglecting her, and even starving her to death! One night (it was in October of 2013), when I was helping mom to sit on her port-a-potty, she suddenly went limb, and she had an odd look on her face. Sis and I suspected something was wrong, so she called 911. A couple of paramedics came and drove her and us to a nearby hospital, but it was too late. Our mother was dead on arrival! We believed she died from starvation, but my sister said she didn't want an autopsy and insisted that mom be cremated right away. All this happened because that other doctor didn't know what was really wrong with mom! All he could say was "Give her some Din-u-tap." But, what do you expect? The supposedly "prestigious" medical schools don't teach their students about the root causes of sicknesses and diseases, or about how a new and/or unknown disease can appear at any time, or about how to really listen to to their patients. All they teach them to do, as many critics of the medical profession say, is "Prescripe, prescripe, prescripe." These medical schools are about as useless as Donald Trump's so-called "university"! By the way, my sister is gone too. She passed away in 2015 from lung cancer. (My father died many years before, in 2003, from a bladder infection) May they rest in peace. 🕊️

My wife learned the hard way about doctors and she worked in the medical field. She was bit by a tick and started having problems. She had the classic bullseye and the pain. The doctors told her that it is impossible since the disease was only up north. We live in Eastern NC. They refused to test or give her the antibiotics. Finally after several years the one that was the most vocal about her not having Lyme disease admitted that she did. They ruined her life due to their arrogance. We were not married at the time but I would have been more vocal. She by being in the medical field for so long believe in doctors. Because of the duration between contracting it and the antibiotics her nerves are shot. She had to retire from a profession she loved all because doctors do not error on the side of the person. They are not open minded enough and the opinions that is important is theirs. Birds migrate and carry ticks. She is doing better now. The heavy drugs she was taking to counteract the symptoms almost took her life several times. She now has a implant that shoots electric charges into her spinal cord controlled by a iPod. Always get a second, third, as many opinions as you can! Do not rely on a doctor when your research shows a different results.

Even with my face paralyzed, doctor's said ,I had mental illness. 5 year's later, I figured it out through year's of research, as I was dying in mybed. Fled to a rife practitioner to save my life. Now I am disabled, waiting for disability

I will never wholly trust doctors. My husband has been treated for the last four years for first MRSA, then a cream for what they said was then fungus. He had seen three doctors over that time. They finally referred him to a plastic surgeon when the quarter size sore turned into a half size softball on his head. That doctor walks in and the first thing he asks is if any one has taken an X-ray or mri of it. He said no. The doctor said, “Well, this is cancer.” No joke. I About fell off of my chair. This doctor said fortunately it’s skin cancer and has not traveled into his skull. Myself, I’ve been dealing with Morgellens disease for a year and none of the nine doctors I’ve seen would help me, just thought I was crazy. This guy on You Tube had it for ten years, went through the same thing I did, and finally found a way to get rid of it. I’m on my fifth day of what he took. This day has been the best day I’ve had in a year. They are not completely gone, but I’ve had a lot of relief which gives me hope. I’m so sorry to hear about what happened to your wife. Tell her I send my best wishes to her, and not to let her disability control her life. My daughter tells me to be present in the moment. My husband and I are both disabled so I understand what she’s going through.

The scenes in that movie were very horrifying yet this right here proves that anything like a flesh-eating parasite or virus is possible. One of my own personal fears, of course. All I can say is to just take safety precautions while being out in any kind of open environment: beaches, parks, mountains, woods, any kind of environment.

I was thinking of a pultice such acetysalic aspirin (ASA) or baking soda might stop the parasite from breathing or create an intolerable pH environment that the parasites cannot thrive in such as alkaline vs. acetic or vise versus. Whatever concept the natives used is a useful learning tool

Ummm we have had flash eating bacteria for a long time In the US. In fact it's actually rather common, you just typically need some sort of cut to actually get into your body. Which is why it's suggested to wear water shoes in case you step on clams or other creatures that may cut or puncture skin. Down in Texas we get a few cases per 5 years and this has been happening for a long time.
