Greatly underappreciated video. This is one of the first landmarks of a new era. Obviously rough around the edges, but stunning.

My God this story concept is BRILLIANT!!!! Could you imagine sentencing someone to a virtual reality prison? Hell? Please keep going with this. I wanna see where this ends up!
I think this concept has serious potential. Hopefully you’re going to make a series of it. And I thought you got some great consistent results between shots for some solid “continuity” even though it jumps between a couple different stylistic palettes and locales. The virtual Whisper world had a great dreamy quality, but it wasn’t too much either. The voice for Hawthorne is very cool and perfectly spy-fi. I’ve always loved the combo of dystopian sci-fi and dreams. So much so I’ve been writing my own take on that kind of tale. I guess that means I’m kinda an easy target audience for this, but great job man. Cheers!

Thanks, great insight! Continuity I think I still can improve on a lot, just need better video editing tools, mainly the color and lighting is the most difficult task not even characters necessarily. I also love movies like Brazil, 1984, clockwork orange, etc. I am not sure about a sequel just yet because I am not very established yet and I also have many ideas/styles I want to play with. Are you planning to make your work into a shortfilm? let me know if you do :)

Yay! Amazing. Dystopian Cyperpunk Ai Art Animation + Bad Lip Reading. The best of both worlds. Really great cuts and overall production!

Thank you, yes definitely some bad lip reading in there. The process is basically reversed, you choose the dialogue for facial expressions. Even though the lip area can be animated the face has to match.

thank! see my other comment for more, but in general yes I use gpt4 for dialogue writing, for everything else I think it's quite bad and even for dialogue it has a lot of problems so I mainly use it to make a quick frame for the dialogue then fix it so it does not seem like aliens talking
Love the style! Great work.

Very good work ! But how do you manage to generate several shots with the same character on the runway?
@MachineMythos

Thanks! You can give made up names to your characters and give a detailed description about their appearance and it will reproduce them very accurately between shots as long as the style is fixed.

hi can you explain how did you get lipsync on moving video? wav2lip and other such softwares use image as input, how did you manage the expression plus the lips? secondly how much did this project cost on runway? amazing work, great subtle animatons and good sound design. more of this pls
@MachineMythos

Thank you! wav2lip works on videos, the process is reversed you need to first produce the video then create the dub to get good results. Cost around 50 dollars but I was very economic with the shots due to my limited budget so best to have a clear vision and complete willingness to adopt to the results.

What app or site do you use in generating this AI video?
Well done
This video excited and frightened me at the same time! It shows the creative, positive potential AI can have, as well as its possible manipulative power. Your work is very well made, I appreciate how much time and effort this must have been for you. I was curious about several things that you thankfully already answered in the comments. Next week I ll show this video at least partially to my students to show them how far we are already in this branch of technology! The thing I still wonder about is this: You say it is made "with the help of AI", but I have the feeling that video, voice and music has been created by AI, right? So your main "human" effort was prompting (man I'm curious about your prompts), cutting and editing, or am I wrong? Best regards from Austria
@MachineMythos

Thank you, I'm honored! The script was me except I used ChatGPT to help with a more rich dialogue. Voice was AI (elevenlabs), and the music was still human made as AI cannot consistently produce outstanding music yet. So basically I did the most of screenwriting and the directing/editing/postproduction. Made this one some time ago (I have more technically advanced films now) but I mostly used images+text as prompts from midjourney. It would be hard to describe how I prompt though in a comment but I mostly rely on stylistic referencing and detailed character descriptions to get consistent visuals.

I may make one in the future but in general using image prompts yield quite good results for me, otherwise you have to be very descriptive with the prompt which can produce junk results

Don't think ai will replace real actors or the spark in animated films just yet. You can still see the uncanny valley. It'll take some time. Even mature 3d animation like avatar took a long time, and that's for humanoid characters. For 3d human characters look at Terminator Dark Fate, you can still tell its not real people
@MachineMythos
11 ай бұрын
Yes, definitely deep in the uncanny valley and wont replace any actors but this type of tech has only been out for around 3 months. I think photorealistic look and movement will be achieved faster but the ability to accurately control the outcome will take many years, but that is probably where 3d artists will come into the picture to provide the scaffolding. In the end I would prefer if this tech remained a niche for personal storytelling so real artists are less affected.
So...Jacobs ladder?
Why is Tom Hardy the MC here?
Well done, really good consistency - how are u keeping the face the same or getting the talking avatars with moving bodies?

Glad the guys in hollywood are starting to cotton on to the fact they are just as replaceable as all of us.
As with all AI work, nothing "NEW" to see or read. Not really. Like early-days CGI. I will check back in 10 years.

What is the point of your critique? All mediums, from film to sound, rarely provide new concepts. If that is your pre-requisite, you might as well stop consuming content.
