I've loved Karen Gillan since I first saw her on Doctor Who, and damn if she doesn't seem to age! She does a fantastic job as everything from angry, murderous Nebula to this everywoman loser who works her butt off so that some weird alien office drone can get a meh idea out into the world. This would normally be one of these shorts that I would go "huh" at, but she made all the difference, and now I'm wondering what happened next in her life.

@@ChiliCheeseD0g I have boobs too, so what? I'm saying that a great actor can take a so-so script and elevate it to the next level just on the strength of their acting. She was a decent actor back when she was in Doctor Who and showed flashes of brilliance, but she's improved since by being in other roles. Currently, I would say she's a great actor, but she still has some work to do in order to live up to those flashes of brilliance I've seen in her.

Nonsense. If the message were true, there would have been no point in enacting the plot of this short, which required her to reach the destination instead of just screwing around for years. If that is the message, then is it better to not actually achieve things because the happiness ends? Thats what Jerry was saying in the cartoon. But no, there is joy to be found in the chase AND in the achievement if you make worthwhile goals. Disappointment comes from both failure to achieve and in achieving blase' goals. Still, its better to achieve blase' goals than to achieve nothing at all. 🤣🤣

I really felt like she was sad, the beets were sad, and for the first time in history even pizza was sad. Beets are always generally sad and bring down everyone in the room with their beet vibes, but I digress. The worst part of all of this was that sad girls holding food wasn't a real website and now my dreams of seeing high quality still images of Karen with beets and/or pizza may never happen. Somehow I will try to find a way to go on, but it will be difficult.

The pacing was an important part of the success of this piece. Any faster would have been detrimental. Convincing delivery and facial expressions. No one overplayed their part. Effective scene work that emphasized the script’s goal. Cloe’s repartee w John was cute and clever. Good script. Good cinematography. Good acting. Well done.

Great job Karen! I don't know what award for which you should be nominated, but you should win! Hope Dust launches your acting career to better and larger roles for which you will be paid more than minimum wage and a basket of carrots! Also, many thanks to the rest of the cast, the crew and especially to the writers! Well done, all!

HOLY HELL!!... WOW...just WOWWWW!!! I guess I'll be the one to say what everyone else is thinking too.... 90% of the Indie stuff being submitted and broadcast thru DUST over the past 4-5 years has been COMPLETELY OP and BETTER than the stuff coming out of Hollywood! 🤔 I've LITERALLY watched scores of shows [and even podcasts] that lasted 17-28 minutes, and at the end of it... we're all WISHING it was either a full length Blockbuster movie, or a complete series or mini-series! There's so much raw talent out there that thanks to DUST and other KZread channels, are getting the exposure they DESERVE! Bravo I say, Bravo! 👏
