Astounding! I have visited Schubert’s modest home near Vienna and stood at his grave next to Beethoven’s. If only he could have heard this piece performed in such a glorious way on a modern concert grand. I only hope he had some idea of the immortality of his music.

I could not have said it better - so incredibly beautiful - Schubert at it's best!

By far the most extraordinary rendering I've ever heard of this very special Schubert masterpiece. Lucas and Arthur play with four hands and one soul, which seems to be in direct contact with the composer. Schubert was the absolute Master of 'saudade', where sadness and joy mysteriously entertwine, and the central melody in this Fantasy is one his most heartwrenching tunes. These guys play with a simplicity, depth, clarity, and respect for the text that evokes Masters like Lipatti or Michelangeli. What a unique moment you offer us mortals... thank you angels ! I sure hope there's WiFi in the Composers' Paradise so that Franz can listen to you too.

Years ago there was a pair of brothers, Richard and John Contiguglia, who also recorded this masterpiece. Their recording (on vinyl) seems to have disappeared from the catalog. So, I am particularly delighted to have this recording available from this particularly delightsome pair of brothers. Thank you, Arthur and Lucas, and thank you, Steinway, for creating the magnificently beautiful pianos these superb artists use.

Probably 500,000 views of this piece are mine..I’m trying to play it myself with a friend and we come back to this over and over again because it’s such a beautiful piece of music. Schubert did himself proud. I tend to listen rather than watch. Thanks Arthur and Lucas.

Je ne me lasse pas de cette unique et merveilleuse interprétation ❤ Elle ne changera pas la sinistre et cupide face de ce monde moribond (comme le disait déjà Schubert), mais elle nous offre un moment de grâce et de transcendance indicible.

Magnificent rhythm carrying me away. Schubert bought his first piano just before he passed away so early at his 31. And still this 4hands Fantasia knocks very heart of millions.

Probably the finest version of this piece that I’ve heard. The dynamics are wonderful.

Touche: You're right: I can clearly hear the base, mid-range, and treble parts distinctly with little difficulty.

How lovely to hear this played from memory! I am used to reading from a score when playing four-hand music. But when two players have so deeply internalized the music that they think as one, there is a very special magic. And one that reveals a deep understanding of Schubert.

I've watched many videos of them, mostly live, and I have never heard a missed note. Some of what they play is quite virtuosic.

So etwas Wunderbares, Gekonntes, Leichtes und Tiefes hört man sehr selten. Danke den beiden sympathischen Künstlern.

Dutch boys - breaking hearts since 1939!

I really hope the Jussen brothers read my msg. I am a nurse who is fighting with COVID-19 since Jan 2020. We have a long 12hrs shift. I listen to this music when I take a break. I never enjoyed the full music because I still get lots of phone calls or I need to go back to work due to emergency situations. I feel so happy and peaceful with this master piece of Schbert.

Masterwork performed by two young, dedicated and soulful pianists. What maturity they show in understanding this demanding work. .... And all from memory! These boys bring a new meaning to the word 'prodigies'. Listen to the ensemble playing, the varied tone, the beautiful phrasing, and be in awe! They never allow youthful impetuosity to get out of hand. The audience are so caught up in the entire performance there is not a movement until the piece is over, and then they gradually return to earth to show their appreciation.

The Jussens, the Dutch boys break my heart. In my opinion, this is most outstanding Schubers' fantasy in F minor D 450. I feel Schubert's sadness toward his love and end of his life. Very well played. Being brothers, practice thousand hours together..I am very impressed. I hope they visit US in the near future.

In my less than humble opinion, this is the most perfectly executed performance of this work on KZread. Dazzling, breathtaking, sublime! Thank you for sharing.

Just wish there was better audio, there's a lot of clipping. Even my Bose with sub-woofer detect this and upon downloading the audio and opening it up in Audacity, it's very apparent that the microphones do in fact clip out. Maybe they are using Microphones that were made in china? Bargain Hunt?

Никогда еще не слышал такого Шуберта! Это божественно и непостижимо. Слушаю с закрытыми глазами. Смотреть на исполнение - отдельное удовольствие.

Non ho mai sentito un simile Schubert! È divino e incomprensibile. Ascolto con gli occhi chiusi. Guardare lo spettacolo è un piacere separato.

Конечно же у братьев лучшее исполнение! У них особое чувство к друг другу...и родство их душ очень чувствуется... профессионально они достаточно подкованны

И мне кажется, такая деятельность связывает братьев еще сильнее друг с другом, помимо кровного родства, которое есть по умолчанию, они развивают еще и душевное. Это так прекрасно! Чистая, возвышающая близость душ.

these boys make magic together! Surely this is the most beautiful performance of this piece I have ever heard! They play as one and, even at the forte passages - which are quite extended - there is never a forced or percussive sound. They make the piano sing!

Ach ihr lieben Brüder Jussen, wie schön ist es, euch zuzuschauen und zuzuhören! Dank jullie wel! Hartstikke geweldig!

Such clarity and precision of touch. They hit Schuberts voice and phrasing just right. Gentle, melodic, tuneful. Well done.

Enige tijd geleden zag ik een prachtige reportage op tv over deze pianospelende broers. Delen van dit stuk werden gebruikt als begeleiding van verschillende scenes. Vandaag keek ik een Deense film. “Druk”. Daar werd ook weer deze muziek als ondersteuning van heftige scenes gebruikt. Dit gaf me inspiratie om het hele stuk te beluisteren. Prachtig gespeeld door jullie. En dat allemaal uit het hoofd. Wonderkinderen die uitgroeien tot fijne mensen. Ik hoop voor jullie dat jullie nog steeds kunnen genieten van het “gewone” leven. Maar blijf vooral ook piano spelen.
