It's hard to beat a well fitting jacket no matter what brand, sure there are expensive leathers and finer stitching on perfecto copies but this Schott looks great. I'd like to see them use repro vintage zippers one day

Hah! I’m often dealing with off the rack jackets that are too long-sleeved. These are a touch long but if I zip them they’re ok. Developing some rolls on the sleeves and they’re a bit shorter as a result too

This jackets fit is a bit too short, not liking seeing the two buckles . If you actually wore this riding it would ride up pretty high on your back exposing it to the wind.

Yes the jeans / trousers folks were wearing when this jacket was made were a bit higher. However I like the look just fine. I have other longer jackets that cover the belt too

The 118 in 38 would probably look better as it would cover the belt.
