Schizophrenia Episodes Q&A

I share my Schizophrenia Episodes on the playlist Schizophrenia Caught on Camera. I also share these videos on all social media sites/apps. I get an enormous amount of responses and questions. I do a Q&A in this episode of Schizophrenia And The City

I always talk to people I know, and usually I'm explaining things about my background. I have a weird relationship with voices; they're not audible; I can't hear them, but they're there. If it's late at night, I often talk about traumatic experiences, but I try to cut those conversations short because they're unhealthy. I too have a degree in psychology; it didn’t help me when I was wandering through life undiagnosed

A new voice revealed himself to me just last night while I was cooking dinner for my kids. Was super scary for a min, because he has this deep, gravely, if tom waits were a baritone kinda voice that absolutely startled dafaq out of me. But then it was super interesting. I don't much remember what we talked about, except that he continues to call me "boy", which is annoying. Oh, and screw that dudebro with the psych degree trying to explain yourself to you. I hate that!

When I didn't sleep very much, I experienced a bit of seeing things, getting paranoid, and hearing things. It was the scariest times ever

Your videos are helpful for my schizophrenia as well...when I say that I mean in my personal experience with my schizophrenia is we talk a lot about random stuff, some good, some bad, made me laugh, cry etc. At some point I was hospitalized a few times for suicidal thoughts and attempts. I've told my doctor about it and the doctor put me on suicidal watch for a good year but not anymore. I want to ask you what type of cameras you use to record yourself or you use your phone because I want to show my doctor on what I do with my schizophrenia on a day to day basis. Another one is sometimes I smoke weed and vape to help with my schizophrenia, when I vape it helps, but depending on how much I smoke weed it either helps it or worsen. For me to comment on your video it helps me understand how schizophrenia affects on different people and I always wanted to comment on your videos but when it comes with mental health I get shy and quiet to talk about it. Thank you for sharing these videos of you recording yourself and share it.

I’m glad that my videos help you. As for the camera I use it’s just a regular WiFi security cam that connects to your phone.

So many questions. How old were you when you had your first episode? Do you look back and see “stuff” when you were young?

I think it's important to implant good voices into one's mind, rather than merely suffer the grim ones which seem to speak the loudest, most imperative perhaps? Recently my mum started speaking to me in my mind, which is brilliant.

I'm glad you're having a good experience. For myself, I prefer the quiet.
