In het atelier van juwelier Steltman in Den Haag wordt gedemonstreerd hoe metaal wordt gedreven en goud granulé wordt gemaakt. De film is gemaakt voor de tentoonstelling Schitterend Sieraad van het Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden en heeft daarom geen geluid. Zie ook in deze serie de broche en de ring.
This film has been made for the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden, as part of an exhibition about ancient juwellery. This is also the reason that it has no sound. There are two more films in this series:

It is a bowl of wax that softens when it is heated and hardens when cooled. So it fils the gaps and the object is secured, when the force of the tool deforms or forms the shape.

Geen de granulen hebben een dermate zacht smeltpunt dat de verhitting die je gebruikt bij het solderen van een pioen genoeg is. Vandaar dat hij het metaal roze/rood verhitte.
