I love how instead of ‘what’ sometimes David manages to pronounce it ‘hhwhhatuh’. The mispronunciation of words by Moira, David, and Alexis just make this show 1000x funnier

One of the details that makes this show so genius is that they all have similar mannerisms: Alexis and David have a lot of the same movements (especially when they're offended or taken aback 😂😂😂), Moira and David share fashion sense and palette, and Annie Murphy resembles Catherine O'Hara, and of course..... Eugene and Daniel's eyebrows 😅 (and yes, I know that are ACTUALLY father and son). Details like that elevate any work, in my opinion 😁

I encouraged all my friends to watch this show from the very first episode. It was a winner from the start. I love reruns. Watch them every chance I get.

There are times that a series concludes at the right time.

A family of the self centered is perfectly summed up by the scene of the parents facing the kids and Moira says "we usually have no interest in what's going on with you..." vs Johnny immediately interjects "she means we usually have no IDEA what's going on with you..." not much better, and not true, but so funny. Plus Moira's every meltdown

this is the best show in the entire world

I loved this show. I normally don’t like situational humor and “stupid” comedy with unrealistic overacting. But the fact that they were a family of formally *stupid* rich elites. Made the whole comedy work. Made every second of this show work. I didn’t think I would get so sentimental over the show ending, but I cried on three different scenes.

An alternative title for this can be “The Rose’s freaking out for just under 5 minutes.”

moira being stuck in the closet was the first thing i saw of schitts creek and i'm so happy it was always that chaotic 🤣

One thing I missed the first time around but picked up the 2nd time I was watching is that, in very rare occasions (I can only think of 2 or 3) we hear the *real* Moira. The most obvious one is when she finds out that they renamed the theatre. It's about the only time we hear a full sentence where Moira isn't using her fake voice. It's such a small detail but really clever writing (assuming its intentional!)
