I love this movie. This film is a shock. One of the few films that leave a mark on the soul. Shakes the scale of the grief, distress, disaster. The atmosphere of hopelessness and despair. The creators were able to convey all the violence, fear and pain that had to endure those people in the concentration camps. These films need in order to shake people from time to time and remind everybody what fascism is. A heartbreaking , an instructive film, the most powerful in terms of tension. The film, which teaches us to value human life, freedom and not money and things . This is a film that everyone should see.

Spielberg should make a movie about Aristides de Sousa Mendes, a portugueses diplomat that saved millions of jews by allowing them to enter his country. He ended up broke because the dictatorial state prohibited him from helping the people who were running away and since he didn't stop, he was fired and everything he had was taken away. A true hero that also deserves a movie!

Great how at the end the actors and actresses are walking beside the Schindler Jews that they played in the film. It creates a 'link' between the movie and the real people. Without it would be disconnection; a movie then suddenly a documentary at the end.

We had best get a handle on this and the division amongst us because I can see people on opposite sides being ok with doing some questionable things to their political enemies or people that disagree over covid stuff. It is not impossible for history to repeat itself mabe not to this degree but anything even remotely similar is totally unacceptable. This is why this part of history should be widely taught in depth everywhere. I have learned more on my own then I ever did in school and that is worrisome.

I have never made a second attempt to watch it. Watching it one time, was enough. Watched it in 2004, I knew a lot about holocaust by then, and was well informed about ww2. But this one movie shook me to the core, it put me in their shoes. Undoubtedly, this is the greatest movie ever made imo (keeping in mind movies like godfather, saving private Ryan, citizen ken, shawshank redemption etc), just that I am not brave enough to watch it again. I'm not a stranger to sad movies or hard hitting ones. But this is something else. The whole film was black and white except the last scene and the scene with the little girl. Now, as a dad of a little girl myself, I'll have to make a tough decision to ask her to watch it when she is grown up.

The last part when those people were putting stones on his grave really put me through tears. Oskar Schindler was a very selfless businessman, an amazing humanitarian and Liam Neeson was incredible in this film ♥️🐐
