Great memories. Great musicians, always truthful to their message and much missed.
First saw Scheme at Possilpoint Community Centre one Saturday afternoon, then when they started doing the Brothers Bar every Friday night. Great memories, also remember their gig in May 1982 at kelvingrove bandstand.

I never appreciated the Band at the time as I moved to London when Scheme were at there best. Years later I got to know Denny a little pure gentleman quality human being and a great artist. I wish I had more time to get to know you mate and learn some of your songs. God Bless you Denny Thanks for the songs the music ❤
A band that remained true to their beliefs and could not be bought ❤️
I want to thank everyone connected to scheme this video will show my kids just what life was like for DAD. SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS

Fer fucks sake , cant believe some of the stuff I'm reading here ~ Jimmy Gracie, no longer with us . Ran about with Steph when we were wee ~ stealing EVERYTHING we could get our hands on up in Garrowhill . And wee Junie ~ character. If your reading this guys ~ all the best.
Scheme can never be accused of selling out!!! The only thing they sold out was the Appollo...No bad for an unsigned band. WTG Rab McKeweon!!!
People are quick to judge scheme as a band .drugs,Ned's,aw that bullshit.they never sold out socialists till the end singing about Thatcher ,drugs ,police harrasment, and racism .I salute them Glasgow's finest
The days when What Every Woman Wants was Primarks equal ! the best of times ..the happiest of times x never forget my pride when I saw Desi wearing the same Whateverys t-shirt that I had in the pages of the Daily Record. ps I still have the Daily Record clippping (but not the t shirt!!)

Scheme are a band that we are all really proud of, they gave us more than they or us realise
Brilliant band, guid tae see them again after awe these years. :)
Class documentary...
Admirable they stuck to their roots which is a shame in many ways as the world never really got to see them as one Scotlands best bands but hats off to them for never selling out for a fast buck and becoming just another mainstream band!
Great documentary..cheers
Best band to come out of Scotland.
Brilliant stuff . . love it xx
wit a band seen the boys way back in 1982 rip wee denny
Myself & my best mate were absolutely besotted with big George’s son Nikki when we were kids….. Ahhh memories.
Can't beat em
I had the pleasure of meating John Smith a few times, I met up with John in 2005 at John's house for a jam and and a blether, it was a great night as we both played in bands from Easterhouse at the same time, we jammed "Well Alright" "Only a Cowboy" and John tried to show me how to play "Young Warrior".... I was well impressed that he managed to answer all of my 200 questions that night and he along with Cammy Forbes from The Dolphins inspired me to put out the website Glasband 80.......I was at John's funeral last year and I was so shocked that he died so young. I will miss you John and I will always remember your talent, inspiration, and kindness , I will alwzys remember that jam session we had with fondness. RIP may friend.
Scheme...the hardest working band in Glasgow...great guys...

Sad time
Still have the LP stashed away
So great to see this again, I remember having this on VHS when it was first aired, me and my best friend watched it all the time. It was also around the time my friend had his first car, we recorded all the music from this documentary onto a cassette so we could play it in his car. Driving around listening to Scheme, good memories, good times.
Very true singing about change wont get you a contract
All those mullets bring back the good old days

22:55 rest in peace davie bhoy 🍀
any chance u could upload the "anything you say" album ? also anything frm "roots"
The only band that had the balls to call out that evil witch Maggie Thatcher. And that's why no one signed them. They were to political for the mainstream music industry. My older brother Robert from Cranhill toured with them. He was only 15 and disappeared for 6 months with Scheme across Europe. Our Da gave him a good kicking when he got back. Good old days. 😂😂😂
Saw the BAND in 1980.,. The name was ? .
Denny is going up to see my brother in law Bert.
Any one got a copy of waiting on a new day??

utter shite, re-watched this to look for your "evidence" - why write such drivel honestly....
Reggie political music from Glasgow youse would hav had a ball and tons of gigs all round Australia
Epic local band, too bad the Tories fucked Scotland over, as usual, a credit to Glasgow, working class heroes, marched against Maggie the Milk Snatcher, and her cronies
