This is an excellent guide. Here are some additional tips for phase 2: As the text says, the real Goz throws only black cards while the fakes throw mixed red and black. Slow down to the slowest gameplay speed and select (but don't use) an EX skill to watch the cards in slow-mo. Your students will usually start a battle attacking the middle or right Goz, so focus on watching the left one. If it's a fake, check whether you're dealing damage to the Goz your students are firing at to distinguish between the middle and right one. The focus fire after he dispels debuffs trick mentioned here works wonderfully. In addition, Wakamo's EX skill carriers over as well and is unaffected by his dispel so you don't have to wait for the cane to move back. After he reappears, watch for the explosion to identify the real one. If the real on is on the right you can also see the flower petals above him.

an easier way to see whoch goz is the real one is to do the slo mo trick, then watch middle and right, to see if either has black cards. if one of them does, great, you can attack him, if neither, great, its thr left one

You can also track real Goz by sound. His real self makes a loud 'whoosh' so it's very easy to identify him. I use headphones so when I hear it in left ear it means he is on the left side, if i hear it in right ear he is on the right side, when I hear it in both ears it means Goz is in the middle. It's far faster and easier than watching the cards.

There's a noticable change in audio at 8:18. This clip is has been recycled since my very first guide video... 6 months ago. Since then I've changed my Mic and have sliigghtlllyy improved my annunciation, so the change in audio is very drastic. I was supposed to re-record this bit but I uh, got lazy. I'll fix it for the next vid. I also won't be doing a full Insane guide for Goz. Actual changes between difficulties are very minimal. Maybe I can do a quick 2 min voiceless video which outlines the minor changes - all in all though your approach to the fight is basically identical, it's just more punishing and less room for error.

You can hold an EX skill without casting it to slow down game time, you can also drop game speed from 3x to 1x, this should make seeing the cards much easier.

There's another method to identify him that I found to be pretty reliable. On the 2nd phase, there's a small black dot that indicates where the real Goz will spawn. If you have small screen, you might have to look real close, but it is there. Hold your student's skills to ensure slow mode, to make sure you're seeing the black dot. Another trick is, Goz will never stay in the same place for phase 2. For example, when phase 2 starts, Goz will be in the middle. So, he will always go either left, or right. So all you have to do, is focus on either the left or right side. Focus on the dot, or Goz's cards. If you don't see either, then you know he's on the other side. You can use the same trick when he switches place again.

It's quite short, but as long as you are holding the ex skill and waiting for the animation change you will hit it because of the slo-mo. If you try to react to it you will probably miss it.

Another explanation. His staff will sit perfectly still. The moment he lifts his cane up is the moment you're able to cast focus fire without it being dispelled.

I am troubled. currently have and will have enough pyroxene to spark T. Yuuka and Himari, but I am torn between rolling for Yuuka or Mika. Since you already have the experience, in my situation, what would you do? There is also the possibility of rolling for the three of them, but that demands a high investment in time that do not have. PS: don't have Iori but do have UE40 Shizuko.

You can finish Himari banner with 0 gems and still have enough to save and pull for Mika (assuming you consistently play the game). The only unit at risk here would be NYFuuka.

Hi, very new to total assault. Is there any detriment to doing as much damage as possible with the first team til they all die or should i forfeit after phase 1 and immediately switch over.

The only detriment is to your score, as the longer the fight takes the less score you earn. But if youre new and just trying to clear for the first time, don't worry about score. Play out your first team as long as possible before proceeding to your next - it'll help with your chances of clearing.

I don't know how viable this is since I haven't tested it, but maybe Maki can provide some suport? Her skill can apply mark (assuming you can have her hit the real Goz) and her long Ex skill might help on a Goz split.

Thats actually true, thats an easy to spot visual effect but do note it relies on the mark getting applied to goz itself and without getting cleared out.

Does it possible for real Goz to re-summoned in same place again? say the real one in the middle, can it appears in the middle again after this or need to go into other side first so it can be in middle again?

Summer Shizuko and Kotori does it too. Fuuka also technically counts but instead of giving a shield she gives Heals (downside being her EX skill is really expensive)

S.S. Izuna and Hinata can also apply focus fire if you have them. Wakamo is a good choice here because the timed explosion sticks to the real Goz and will not be dispelled. Combine her ability with Haruna for a nice amount of damage as well.

Not really, new players can use Kotori and borrow T.Yuuka, and it should be enough if you don't have core units like (t.yuuka/s.shizuko). Unless you lack in blue dmg dealers like Wakamo/T.Hasumi/S.Azusa or are trying something above your level like Insane mode.

@RaiskZX Telling me to "borrow" assistant Characters is a joke, I am literally at the mercy of what the random club members put on, I don't have the luxury of having any friends that play this or making friends in general since I'm socially awkward. And no, I wasn't trying above my level, I'm level 55 and on hardcore which is level 50, the mobs instant kill all my units in under 5 seconds. Oh wow what a surprise, someone once again says use Track Yuuka 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Might as well call this the "Track Yuuka or bust" raid, nothing you said convincing me otherwise this ain't a badly designed p2w raid

@@cartoonvideos5 You don't really need friends or ability to make friends. I am like you I literally have 0 friends, especially those who would even play BA. I just clicked on anyone and send invite to friends list, if they accept nice if not whatever since many people even have auto accept turned on. If you're in desperate need of friends I can even send you my code (i'm max lvl, f2p so not all my units will be maxed, but they should be enough to help you). If you are on hardcore, you should be able to do it easily, even Extreme if you borrow some UE50 Wakamo/S.Azusa, all you would need is only Kotori/Fuuka to reposition for at least 1min. I know Goz isn't mega new player friendly since most units there used are limited ones which is a pain in the ass (NY.Mutsuki, T.Yuuka, Wakamo, S.Azusa, S.Izuna), but it is doable anyway without them, at least till Insane mode with good borrows. Sorry if my post annoyed you or smth. I'm more annoyed towards Torment, since literally without NY.Mutsuki you can't do shit, f2p options like Chise die way too fast before they can clear out the mobs, having T.Yuuka etc. doesn't help at all if you can't clear the wave in 1 card sweep.
