@Haj Nagyang I'm a man. Yeah the older you get the more sense it will make. And everybody can understand a different meaning behind films or scenes. But what I get from it is that since Charlie had no money he could be bought or used as a sacrificial lamb. But he wasn't willing to sell anybody out to safe himself. Even tho they weren't really his friends, a lot more can be dissect from the film and the scene. Anyways I'm glad you liked it dude. Take care

Did anyone notice that he tells Charlie to keep his thumb in line but when he raises his hand to his brow, he tucks his thumb in. Watch it again.

He also says "sharp to the hairline," but salutes don't go to the hairline. You just touch the tip of your middle finger to to the end of your eyebrow.

@Dean McAndrew Your hairline is where your hair begins, dummy. When you're wearing headgear, your fingertips go to the visor, or, if your headgear has no visor -- like a beret or a garrison cap has no visor -- to the end of your eyebrow.

The fingers are aligned. The thumb is tucked in. No cap, then tip of index finger to brow. Also, hand turned so you can't see the palm.

Blind people often have stronger other senses than people who can see. It is quite common among blind people for them to be able to determine what others are doing around them by using other senses such as hearing etc. His character likely heard Charlie's arm move and recognised a specific way in which it moved from high to lower down on his body. Because he did it so much in the army, he would have probably got used to the way it sounded etc.

Capcoor It’s a douche move for a civilian to do it, regardless of *how* they do it. That said, it’s also pretty douchebaggy to get all bent out of shape over it and call someone out for it, unless they’re being overwhelmingly disrespectful.

A lot of conflict in the comment section. This hits close to home... TBH, I choose to be a civilian because I did not want to go to Iraq. A shitshow and as far as I can tell, we did not make the place better for the people there. It was my dream since childhood, but I had to follow my conscious and NOT volunteer for that. That being said, I wouldn't salute anyone out of respect. I don't consider you military vets as better than me as a person for being a civilian either. Answer the call. Risk your lives for your country. For me, that was a damned lie. Afghanistan maybe but Iraq... The only reason for me personally to join would be to bleed and maybe die with you that volunteered. I figured if you heard that, than you'd call me a dumbass when I could have been home and avoided all that. I didn't need the benefits. I just wanted to be a soldier and that wasn't good enough for me. That war was wrong. You people, military personnel and everyone else, stay safe out there. Live well.
