Everything about this scene is iconic
The way he yells “Willy! Oh Willy!” Always gets me lol 😂
Young Charlie was the one who taught Frank how to be a loving, kind man!
“You know what this is?, Ranger chokehold . A little pressure and I but your wind pipe!” Iconic scene
Al Pacino is doing excellent role in this movie
Al Pacino my true hero
This movie was awesome. No need to tell the Col. What a woman is.
Class movie. One of the best ever made.
I love every fucking scene of this movie oh ha
"Randy, you new"
For al Pacino to act blind through our the whole thing must of been a real hard thing to do.But he pulled it off, Chris o donnell played a good part in this film as Charlie the young prep school student.

@@ria9874 Well what a coincidence! I love it too, HOO-HAAA.
Willie's look of exhaustion at 3:59 is great. It's a time lapse mechanism supreme. You can tell from his look, no matter how long they've been at that dinner table, that it has been the longest thanksgiving holiday of his life. I guess it's the combination of a big brother's love and pity for Frank's condition that prevents him from calling Frank out for his bullshit. Randy, on the other hand, feels no such attachment. He's aggravated by Frank's bullshit. He's not only going to get in his face, but he's going to try and embarrass him too. In fact you can tell that Randy's a little pist at Gary for wanting to give Frank a pass with "It's over and done with."

You *SO* succinctly nailed the critique of this scene (which is one of the most iconic of the movie) it is at this point, I couldn't add anything better. However, after this Thanksgiving a few days past, I just wish mine went so well... 😀 I would have killed for an "Uncle Frank" at the table to distract!
“You have been so wrapped up in the sugar business, you have forgotten the taste of real HONEY” 😂😂😂 “ITS FIRE DOWN THERE” 🔥
“Where’s the booze!? Flowin’ like mud around here!” 😂

Are average American families really like this. I know this is a movie and I can't imagine something like this being real.

In some families yes. It's usually the super bitter individuals in families that like to poke the bear and then cry foul when things get flipped on them. But then again, that's most Americans.
Anyone notice Randy’s tie 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
So good
THERE'S AN URBAN LEGEND IF YOU LOSE ONE OF YOUR SENSES YOUR OTHER SENSES BECOME HEIGHTENED
SO this movie came out when I had *just* gotten out of the US Navy as a veteran of Desert Storm. I have all these years somehow missed watching it although I would see glimpses of it on KZread all these years later (this one, the ending scene, etc). Just the other night I bit the bullet and rented the entire film on Amazon. WOW - that's all I can say. There is some dating to the film, but other than that it has become one of the most amazing in my collection! Al Pacino is the bright star in this - playing a blind man (and a bitter veteran) is incredible; the way his eyes never focus on someone or anything is a very hard skill to gain - and yet he did it portraying a blind man perfectly. As far as his "past" in Fort Benning (where I was born) is so realistic and building up to who he plays in the movie seems to contribute to his bitterness and reality to the point it's scary (my father retired as a two star general in the Army and never made three star for "being passed over"). I can recommend this entire movie to anyone and everyone - it's almost scary the way it took me back to my childhood being in private school at the age of Charlie and having to come home to my father during the holidays. I give the performances and all a 5 star plus. NOTE: edited for Grammar and spelling.

If you were in the navy (and that’s a big if), did they teach you to fight or to talk?
@atlbrysco6198

@@LionZebra Oh yay - it seems I find the one troll that watches these scenes and instead of intelligent discourse, decides to be confrontational. Actually, in the Navy they teach you both - how to fight and how to talk - and also how to be intelligent enough to assess a situation and determine that sometimes, one is better than the other. Considering that I served on a Command Flagship, it was critical to know both. In your case, it's obvious that you have not learned that skill yet; had you, you could have disagreed with my comment with a "thumbs down" or something other than a one-liner that drips with confrontation and derision. I'm frankly surprised you even watched this or cared considering your profile is nothing but tired electronica playlists. My exploits - both good and bad - are documented in many places including the US governments records. As of yours... well - 'nuff said. When you have something intelligent to contribute let me know. @@atlbrysco6198 Lol! Get back to your video games! Even if you ever were in the navy, you’re nothing more than the ticket guy on a train. Trying to sound like the navy makes you special, educated, or sharp is like a clown who thinks others are fooled to think cleaning toilets on a ship or licking the feet of superiors most of the time makes him a genius! As the Marines say, the only use the navy has is to give a ride to and drop off the real men trained with the skills for actual combat.
why didn't you take him to your family for dinner?, 🤣

Gary seems reasonable.
I think that this is the most poignant scene in the film.
Pacino played a perfect part here! He really ruled the scene. His cunning, yet undermining character but he knows if Randy fucks up with Charlie, he’s gonna end up good. Really well deserved punishment.
فيلم جميل جدا🎉
This scene shows how emotinally vulnerable Frank is. He starts insulting Randy who insults Frank back. Frank gets Gale's name wrong twice. Randy is annoyed but simply corrects Frank. Randy is so articulate that Frank is not able to defend himself or insult Randy back. Frank relies on violence to end the scene.
Hey Willie lol
悲しい。寂しさが何故解らないの? あんな身内がいたら苦しい。
