CLIP DESCRIPTION:
When a hesitant Charlie (Chris O'Donnell) lets Frank (Al Pacino) take the driver's seat in their Ferrari test drive, he gets pulled over by a cop.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Driven by an extravagant, tour-de-force performance by Al Pacino, Scent of a Woman is the story of Frank Slade (Pacino), a blind, retired army colonel who hires Charlie Simms (Chris O'Donnell), a poor college student on the verge of expulsion, to take care of him over Thanksgiving weekend. At the beginning of the weekend, Frank takes Charlie to New York, where he reveals to the student that he intends to visit his family, have a few terrific meals, sleep with a beautiful woman and, finally, commit suicide. The film follows the mis-matched pair over the course of the weekend, as they learn about life through their series of adventures. Though the story is a little contrived and predictable, it pulls all the right strings, thanks to O'Donnell's sympathetic supporting role and Pacino's powerful lead performance, for which he won his first Academy Award. Scent of a Woman is based on the 1975 Italian film Profumo Di Donna.

An actor's job is to pass on emotions to the viewer. Pacino and a rare bunch do it for me. Movies lately have wooden "actors" (let's face it, their good looks are a marketing tool) and lame predictable "We have to fight for what's right" spoonfed dialogue. I blame Netflix and other streaming services. It's nothing but quantity over quality these days.

@@Medietos Yeah I know but I am speaking while putting realism aside of course...I know you can't expect him to control the car at that speed while blind....
"don't blame me charlie, I can't see" ahahha
I was on the edge of my seat when I first watched this scene. Great scene from a great movie!
the way charlie sits in the car is exactly like my mother when i drive..its annoying, cause i juts wanna have fun like al pacino..haha
I crack myself every time he says" oohh, I haven't had a ticket in years!
This has got to be one of the best movies ever made!! Along with the tango scene :)
“Charlie, I’m going to do it anyway. Where you say so or not.” Beautiful!

One of the best movies I've ever seen!
One of my favorite scenes ever!
The prefect scene I have seen in my life ...
This scene was Awesome!! Loved it.
Al Pacino trabaja bien en las películas igual Chris O'Donnell lo maximo👍👏
this should of been the end scene after the speech where he says hooah and fast paced music at the end
Loved this scene. :)) Terrific film.
This would be absolutely impossible, not because he is blind, but because I can tell they filmed this in Brooklyn which constantly has traffic from hell.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME😆🥲🥲. AL PACINO WAS BRILLIANT BUT CHRIS O’DONELL DID A GREAT JOB AS WELL IN THIS FILM👏👏
I remember taking one of those cars on a test drive when I worked next door in a Italian restaurant as a waiter. The dealer seemed a bit upset when I told him I was a waiter next door when we returned to the dealership. Oh well, ya ONLY live once. Hey, its a Ferrari. What would ya expect anything less?
hahaha "wooohaa" i love his performance!
Woeha! Fantastic actor!!!
One of the best scenes
Driving blind is one of the most terrifying things I can think of. I don't see how this would be possible in real life unless Charlie was physically steering the whole time. This is the only part of the movie that doesn't seem realistic.

frank was not blind all life. it was only recently. also u dont look at clutch or gear when you drive right? ur muscle memory of hands and legs do the job so did frank's. and if anything went wrong charlie was there to steer.

2:22 "Yellow Flag."
on mythbusters they do a test on this scene from the movie one them telling a blind man how to drive sober and one under the influence of alcohol. when jamie and adam are drunk and tell the blind man how to drive its like he is the drunk one even tho he is sober

En algunos foros pone que la banda sonora es La Violetera, pero solo es hasta el segundo 0:20, luego es El Relicario. Son dos canciones españolas y son muy conocidas y queridas aquí en España.
