SCARY newly set up 75 GALLON SALTWATER AQUARIUM (update)
What’s up guys, we have a situation in the 75 gallon. You can expect things to arise when you first setup your new saltwater aquarium. My 75 gallon saltwater aquarium has encountered a diatom algae bloom. Diatom algae blooms come from high phosphate’s and silicates. With newly set up aquariums it’s called “new tank syndrome.” There’s a couple different ways to control the algae, a nice clean-up crew is the answer. Throw a four jar mixed copepod set from Bulk Reef Supply or elsewhere and you can avoid most if not all of the ugly phase. That’s what I did on my Red Sea tank about three months ago. I had hardly any trace of the ugly phase.

Short version. My grandmother got my mom into aquariums, and my mom got me into them. Started almost 30yrs ago at the age of 10.
