Nobody had leg kicks like the rock
Getting a leg kick checked is the worst
@CasualMMAFan

This is why I feel it’s essential to practice non-telegraphed kicks. Alex Pereiera is the perfect example to study this from, dude never shifts his shoulders, and maintains eye contact throughout exchanges, I’m sure he uses “eye feints” to his advantage, but just whenever I see him trade leg kicks in the pocket, he always stands up straight, keeps eye contact, and he never shifts his shoulders when kicking.

my buddy said the same about leg kicks not hurting, so we “leg boxed” only threw kicks to the legs and he quit after my first 3 kicks

Great coaches know what their fighters can and can't take. My guess is Duke knew that Felder was mentally tough enough to fight through the pain. I broke my ankle in two places skateboarding and was somehow able to walk on it into the hospital. Everyone's pain tolerance is different and anyone that's ever took part in any extreme sports can attest to this.
