Gravity Falls carries the same aesthetic of many 90’s cartoons: being targeted at teenagers and more violent and disturbing than most cartoons of its time.

I don't watch it, but I feel like every moment with Bill is the most scary moment 💀

Scary or funny. He’s a perfect villain of Chaos. Pretty weird too

This show did not have to go as hard or be as intense as it did. I absolutely loved it.

If you have the physical #3 book you’d know Sock Opera is even darker then it seems, aside from basically making Dipper’s body self harm itself and forcing him to watch which will definitely cause physiological damage later there is a note in the book that shows Bill’s true intentions for Dipper’s body when he was finished and basically asked Mabel if he would “join” Dipper’s fate ‘Note to Self:Possessing people is hilarious! To think of all the sensations I’ve been missing out on - burning, stabbing, drowning. It’s like a buffet tray of fun! Once I destroy that journal, I’ll enjoy giving this body it’s grand finale - by throwing it off the Water Tower! Best of all, people will just think Pine Tree lost his mind, and hiS mental form will wander in the mindscape forever. Want to join him, Shooting Star?’

I knew the number 1 moment was going to “Northwest Mansion Mystery” I hope I got the title right. It’s been a while since I watched Gravity Falls. Seeing blood dripping from the animal trophies is an iconic scary moment from the show and with good reason. Usually a kid’s show DOESN’T INVOLVE BLOOD!

A kids show? Well I guess *insert everything horrifying* is for kids.

Honestly I feel like the whole Wierdmagedon saga was terrifying From a couch made out of living human flesh to Bill shouting "I've got some kids I have to turn into corpses".That stuff really freaked me out I watched the Wierdmagedon episodes at midnight and I was scarred

I remember when I first saw the Stan balloon I was like 8 and had to pause it to just laugh hysterically for five minutes lol

A neat detail, when Dipper turns into wood in the mansion episode he is in the same position as the shapeshifter before freezing, technically making the shapeshifter right.

I think the most horrifying gravity falls thing is in the journal that you can buy were everybody turns into bill as he’s trying to stay awake or the fact that on bill cyphers page Stanford’s eye bled all over it

Preston's face being mixed-up scared the crap out of me when I was a kid, and it still scares me to this day. Now it lives in my head rent-free.

The August 31, 2023 war between Disney and the Spectrum cable TV system resulted in EIGHT channels eliminated. I now miss FXX ("Bob's Burgers" and "Futurama"), FX Movies and Disney XD. So I got physical media so I could see any "Gravity Falls" episode, comment on the episode, and, in the 7 disc collector's edition, "behind the scenes" extras. I am considering the Bob's Burgers" DVD set, but settled for the "Firefly" DVD set.;)

That severed island head thing, looks like something out of the mind of Trevor Henderson.

The sad thing is Bill likes pain because he can’t feel it when he’s in his natural form.

The moment they said: Cartoons we grew up with had scary and terrifying moments, I immediately thought of Courage the Cowardly Dog. That show had an insane amount of creepy things.

I wonder how many other people made the mistake of thinking Soos and the Real girl was a Fnaf ref despite.. it being in production before the games release

Personally I think the most disturbing moment in the show was when you look at the pictures toward the ending of weirdmagedon intro, you can see a picture of bill stretching a big, toothy smile on his own face, and it's hella disturbing

I hope gravity falls gets a revival one day this show is the goat.

Actually, the Hoo Hah’s pizza place was not a Doki Doki Literature Club reference, and was likely not a FNAF reference either. DDLC came out in 2017, long after the episode first aired, and the episode had to have been in production for a while, so while the release of the episode was close to the release date of FNAF, the episode was most likely in production long before the game was actually released, and definitely before FNAF blew up the internet.
