SCARIEST TEDDY BEAR EVER | Supernatural 4x8 Reaction | Wishful Thinking

Фильм және анимация

Thank you so much for watching Supernatural - Season 4 Episode 8 with me!
This episode... I don't even know what to say! Who came up with the Teddy Bear?? HOW? I would have been so terrified as a kid - but Audrey handled it like a pro. I love how different all the wishes were, and all the unexpected little twists and turns in this one. Lots of laughs but def wanted to give the boys a hug at the end.

    This is one of those fever dream episodes that supernatural just pulls off so well. No other show could make a serious episode about a talking suicidal teddy bear😂

    I always felt so sorry for Dean. Knowing he remembers everything from hell, how can you cope with that, really? And then being so strong as to not share it with his little brother, still protecting him, forever. Dean's a good man.

    Yeah it sucks, he doesn’t deserve that 😭 I don’t know how he is able to continue, he is so strong. I know Dean wants to protect Sam, and it must be so hard to talk about too but I know Sam wants to protect and help his brother too🥺

    Fun facts: The wishing well in this episode is found in a Chinese restaurant however the mythology of wishing wells comes from German, Celtic and Nordic law with water believed to be a source of life ancient peoples would throw in tides or coins hoping that the deities would grant their desires. Not a fun fact the kid getting bullied (Todd) grew up and murdered his mother he’s in jail now he was also in Riverdale and diary of a wimpy kid.

    Oh, I have to admit I had no clue it had Nordic origin that’s interesting! The fact that it was in a Chinese restaurant I’m guessing was just random to have another setting that a park well / pond / fountain. The second fact wow…! I didn’t know he was in Riverdale tho 👀

    It seems like Audrey’s parents are not very responsible. They never taught her to not open the doors to strangers. When I was child my parents told me never to open the door to random people. Audrey’s lucky Sam and Dean are good people there to genuinely help.

    Okay, Cora. You approved of my essays, so here we go. 😉 4:08 - I think one of the reasons you perceive the show as getting better is because it builds upon what's already happened. It's an inherited trait of prime time soap operas, in which pieces of episodes are used again and again in the future, culminating in a huge payoff. (I'm babbling early. Sorry.) 5:30 - I stepped to my kitchen, still listening to your reaction, and you went silent for a few seconds... and because I've been having issues streaming videos of late, I thought, "Great. I'm in buffering hell again." But, NOPE! You were simply stunned into silence. 🤣 7:05 - I looked it up to verify. Concrete, Washington. Real place with some notable landmarks made of... wait for it!... Concrete! 🤣 8:31 - Look, I get it. The kid has a crush on his teacher. Not that unusual. Van Halen even has a song, "Hot for Teacher." 😉 10:29 - It's cute how you try running down the possibilities, while we know you're WAY off track. 😊 13:19 - Gotta admit, a teddy bear experiencing an existential crisis is pretty funny. 🤣 17:05 - You ask, I answer! From the United States Department of Agriculture: "Ante-mortem and Post-mortem Poultry Inspection and expired FSIS Notice *44-16* , Instructions For Writing Poultry Good Commercial Practices Noncompliance Records and Memorandum of Interview Letters For Poultry Mistreatment." 18:52 - "In the Hall of the Mountain King"? Really? 🤣 20:36 - I completely agree! 😨 26:47 - "Kneel before Todd" is supposed to be a reference to "Superman II," in which the main baddies shouts, "Kneel before Zod!" NOTE: Ryan Grantham, Todd, pleaded guilty to second degree murder after killing his mother. He was sentenced to life in prison, but could be paroled after serving 14 years. From what I read, I think he'd benefit from A LOT of psychological help. As to your follow-up chat, I really can't anything without spoilers. You'll just have to wait and see. (Mind you, when I write "wait and see," I'm kinda hoping to nudge you into posting twice a week. 😁)

    I do really agree that it would probably help at least a little bit for Dean to talk about hell even though Sam could not understand. At least then he would have someone who knows about it, and talking about the bad that one is going through is a part of the healing/moving on process, even though that wouldn't really apply to actually going to hell, letting it out is still the best he could do. Dean is so broken and deserves to feel good about himself and deal with things healthily.

  • @debbielough7754

    @debbielough7754

    Talking about it would definitely be the best thing for him to have done. BUT it's a common trauma symptom that traumatised people *can't* talk about the thing that traumatised them, because in doing so you have to relive it. And that can feel like you're going through it all over again. It's not necessarily a choice that you can make without a lot of help.

  • @Jeppesper

    @@debbielough7754 True, I don't mean it would be easy, but it would be the best thing for him to do. Having seen the show, I know how hard it is for him to keep trauma to himself.

    I do think it would be good for him to let at least some of the pressure out, but yeah I totally get why he isn’t taking about it. Not only is it probably near impossible to put words to it, but also going through something like that isn’t something that will ever be easy to talk about. 😭 I just wish he could so that he could get the tiny bit of help it might grant him!

    Be careful what you wish for is the moral of the episode. lol. I realize I'm in the minority, but the standalone episodes where Sam and Dean hunt and do their brotherly bonding are my favourites. I'm sad when they argue or get mad at each other but their relationship and how they care about each other is fascinating to watch. Although this is not on my best episodes list, it is nevertheless interesting. I love your reactions. They come over as so genuine. :)

    Truly!! Sometimes what we think we want isn’t really what we want in the end.👀 I kinda agree with you though, or at least I don’t think the show would be the same without them. They give the show breathing space and actually makes it feel way more deep in the end! It’s “funny” because what they argue about is very often the other person keeping seeming from the other, to protect them and it ends up backfiring. It for sure is an interesting episode!😅 thank you so much, I’m really happy you enjoy them.🥹
