@colderbeer i realise it is another comment where you are desperate to appear "edgy" but in reality the ref letting a beating like this continue increases the chances of brain injury.

Whitaker vs Hurtado: The referee waited far too long to stop that fight! The man was defenseless, on the ropes, and took five or six hard, and unnecessary punches!

I understand the ref should stop the fight when the guy is out, but why does the opposite boxer continue to pummel the guy when he knows he’s out?? Nobody talking about the real killers in the game.

@@constantine7382 Sorry, but what you're saying is preposterous. Whitaker was a great fighter. You're saying he beat Chavez's re-treads? Hilarious considering he beat Chavez and De La Hoya only to get robbed in both. But tell me who he ducked? Then tell me which fighters Chavez beat that weren't re-treads? I agree about him being a whiner. He was a straight diva. But that doesn't change the fact he was a great fighter. Mayweather, Haugen, Ramirez, Pendleton, Nelson, Trinidad, Chavez, De La Hoya, Paez, McGirt, Vasquez, Hurtado were unknowns and didn't have a chance to win due to being so low level? Hahahaha. Yeah, alright. Sure.

@@seablock He beat a fat Chavez, lost to De La Hoya. Close, I wouldn't argue to hard against it the other way. Mayweather, Haugen, Ramirez were all Chavez retreads. But while Chavez knocked out both Mayweather and Haugen, the best whitaker could do was pull mayweather's trunks down. He looked extremely average against a fat overrated nelson and went the distance with Anthony Jones, who had been destroyed by Rosario. The list of fighters he avoided was impressive. When Terry Norris was rated number 1 p4p, whitaker fought Vasquez. And got knocked on his ass. NO WAY he was fighting Norris. Rosario BEGGED for a fight. Nothing doing. Quartey and Trinidad were both avoided and Trinidad was only fought when whitaker had no belts. You think De La Hoya was a robbery? What about Wilfredo Rivera beating on whitaker for 12 rounds only to be robbed? Go back and look at Hurtado's record. He fought NO ONE that gave him the right to a title shot. And he STILL knocked china chin on his ass twice. I hope that helps. whitaker was a good fighter. Certainly nothing that was all that special, regardless of what all you parrots say.
