@@HT-sm9dm No exaggeration. Stop with the ahead of the time crap. You kids need to come up with a different saying. It's excellence. Saying he was ahead of his time is say A. At the time, rappers were lesser and B. Today rappers are better and he's of this time. He's definitely not of this horseshit time. And like the one homey said, lyricists were 4 trillion times better back then. No exaggerating

Since first hearing this song, something deep from within began to resignate; these lyrics are extremely thought provoking, which is what I believe Pac intended. In addition, there are sibliminal messages contained within the video itself. Although his primary message is clear; for black people to remain upbeat through times of store, we also need to be reminded of what he stood for... the unification of his people. For me, that is the true essence of this song.

PAC the poet! I cry every time I hear and feel the 1st verse…. Rest in power to my brother Darnell Benson who was murdered by the San Francisco police department. My family never got justice in this world. But we will get spiritual justice!!

I'm so sorry to hear that but he's in heaven with 2pac though
When I was young, I was told Pac never will never die. Only when I grew up and understood that the legendary Pac lives on. He is so poetic walaiii
Tupac outlived this planet and so he had to move on to the next one and so until we see him again we've gotta SMILE for him.

Tupac ❤️RIP Legend!
This is one of those ageless songs. I can never get tired of it.
Arguably my favorite Pac verse of all time...The lyrics are so heartfelt...
"It's gone be some stuff you see that's gone make it hard to smile in the future" -2pac🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm here for my 2PAC and SCARFACE in 2023. RIP 2PAC, miss you!!!
Pac enhanced any artist he dealt with and any song he was on! REST IN POWER PAC!!! 🕊🙏🏽🕊🙏🏽🕊🙏🏽
97-released several months after PACs death. I was 19-loved hip since about 88 was I was 10. Faces last verse is bone chilling. Songs like this are immortal
Damn! Can't get enough of this classic song from the genius himself. The beats is just mind blowing. Smiles all over my face as l was reminiscing listening to it in those good old days as a teenager.

Yes and the beat comes from a tru classic of the S.O.S. Band hit song Tell me if you still care

Naa. Not the beat. Just a similarity (sample) of the chorus. *"Tell me if you still care." *"Smile for me."
When you feature Pac on a song off your album, you let him do two verses. My fav music video of all time. The song is a complete masterpiece. Tupac should have been on that stage at the super bowl last week.

This was Tupacs song and he put scarface on it. He originally had the outlawz on it. After Pac died Scarface requested if he could put the song on his album.

Perhaps the greatest music video ever created. The layers of imagery and allegory are many, like an onion. Backed by one of the greatest songs. Perfect.

Welcome to the most underrated 2pac song
It's so much easier to listen to this song now than it was when it came out because Tupac's death affected me so but it's still one of the greatest rap songs ever made definitely stood the test of time.
The best lyrical content of Tupac's verses on this is deeper and more meaningful than anything Biggie ever rapped in his whole career!
