The iron ore and steelmaking industries have an important responsibility to reduce carbon dioxide and hazardous atmospheric emissions. In line with our vision for more careful use of resources and improving environmental protection, we developed pelletizing technology with a high production rate - up to 70 % - and a very narrow particle size distribution of 10 to 12.5 mm - important elements in the direct reduction (DR) process. Our pan pelletizing disc, the Niagara SCARABAEUS SC7500 AV200, supports our customers in the sustainable and efficient processing of more than 150 tons iron ore pellets per hour. The disc fulfills the specific needs for the DR process with energy savings of up to 5% thanks to a reduced recycling rate.
