to be honest I would ask lots of questions if i was in joels shoes. Sure it seems not all that interesting because Scar is rambling. But he seems to be passionate about the topic for real; So the only thing stopping this discussion from being very interesting is Scars lack of rhetorics. So to reach Scars full potential you gotta help him out. I know Tango in Secret Life wasn't actually interested but what matters is that he asked questions. That way Scar could answer and expand and if you give a damn about star wars it was actually interesting. That's just my take away. But if i was a hermit and had to grind I would talk to scar for an hour about something he knows a lot about and ask him questions. He's passionate and funny.

Didnt watch the whole video but about mental health: Depression kills more people than schizzophrenia or borderline. Most people who well end it all have never shown depressive symptoms to the outside. I had depression for like 15 years without showing symptoms and nothing would have gotten me out of it if it wasnt for my body shutting down. So please, Ill be egotistical but I dont want others to repeat the same mistake as I did. The weird thing is, what helped me out was realizing that I could always continue, no matter how bad I felt and if neither I nor my friends know about this, it would stay like that indefinately.

i have dealt with depression my whole life getting life was tough, it was a long path but i think now ive been fairly ok, not perfect, but ok im doing well in school, getting just enough sleep, not having severe self doubt and all that time keeps going and for as long as you live its never too late, you have time to get better

@@foxliasgriffinYT sorry, I have to make this about myself again. That said, have a stupid analogy. If the mind was physical machine, like a clock I guess, You have an input, output and frame. Depression is basically in my experience the mind slowing down so that the frame doesnt break (trust me, I had psychotic phases over days once, its not nice). But at some point, you wont have any memory left to a time when it was different, your life will have shifted around you to only support what you have become, so you either continue an experience of well, somehow ignoring/forgetting misery or you break everything you have built around that wound, be extremely miserable and edgy on the outside for like a year, mess up your family relations, your social life etc. and although it isnt pretty, you can get through it (well, I took antidepressants too). Thats the problem with this form of ignoring: I wanted to loose myself so that I wouldnt feel the need to suffer and then there is never a reason to get better.

this is nitpicky i’m sorry but i felt it was at least a little important to point out- the wording of your comment is a bit misleading in the “depression kills more people” part. schizophrenia and bpd have higher mortality rates than depression. but depression is one of the most common mental illnesses (schizophrenia especially is extremely rare in comparison), so it’s responsible for more deaths even though it’s mortality rate is lower. what you said is true and all but it makes it sound like it’s more deadly than the others so i just wanted to leave a note about it in case anyone reads your comment and misinterprets it

  • @ez9566

    3 ай бұрын

@@bitescratchkill6849 oh sorry, not at all nitpicky, didnt sepcify the fact as I am looking into mental health a Lot and figured "it just makes sense". I was also a little projecting when writing this. My main point should have been this one. Depression is widespread, can last for literally decades, destroy your life and contrary to bpd/spd, you dont always notice the symptoms, only when you look back. Other mental health issues are different because they hurt but longterm depression eats you up until you cant find your way back. Like an island and the water is slowly rising until only work, life and responsibilities keep you alive and the ways to get random motivation again are beneath the waves. And nothing can free you from the pain you think you need to endure alone, so if anyone feels the some get. Help. Whatever it takes because after the pain stops, you learn to live with it, will never have a reason to get out again. TLDR: take a month, a year, how long it takes to figure yourself out and be egotistical or continue not feeling the hole forever. And trust me, you can run forever if you feel nothing. And without feelings, nothing will get you out of your head but your body or psychosis, or you realizing that you are writing with too many metaphoras and emotionalizations again. Cheers yall. So what gets you out of a prison with no walls? A little chaos, self centeredness and some antidepressants. And drag shows because seeing strangers express themselves also feels liberating.

Healthy people simply have no idea how different it is being sick when you have a chronic illness. Like, my mom is extremely observent, and has been helping me when Id get sick ever since I was 12 and started having RA symptoms. Her mother has also had it for many many years (its a genetic thing similar to RA technically I think). She makes everyone else wear masks and clean everything if THEY are sick, etc. etc. Laat summer her own symptoms progressed to the point she needed to start the immunosuppressives, and she got sick for the first time since around new year. She was having panic attacks the ENTIRE time, because her oxygen would be dropping to the 80s overnight, or because she would have to stop and catch her breath while talking because she had so little energy, or because it had been 3 weeks and if anything she felt like she was getting worse.... All stuff that she knew happened, and had seen happen to me, but even the most empathetic person in the world wouldn't be truly prepared to experience that. I felt so bad, at least Ive had it for long enough that I really didn't know any different. Its just how adults feel when sick to me. She went from recovering from even flu in a couple days, to being clobbered for a month. It WOULD feel like you were dying...

To be fair he wasn't chilling with a friend, he was on display before i think someone said 10k people, which is likely a stressful way to experience it for the first time

I can confirm exercise helps, and I assume meditation does two even though I haven’t heard of the latter affecting it in what little I’ve heard.

Yeah the state of Disney is horrible at the moment. They've definitely abandoned all values and sense of morality they used to have, which is why I cannot support Disney in any way, they crossed a moral line I cannot follow. And that is HARD. Like you gotta do something I consider to be VERY serious to get this kind of life long boycott from me. They support putting people in camps over there in China. I REFUSE to support that, at all. Before you say it, I don't have a damned clue how to fix our dependency on China. But I can start with trying to convince people not to let them get away with this shit. There are just some things you don't do. And that is one of them.
