Thank you so much for doing this informative video. Have owned an early model Scan n Cut machine for quite a number of years, but about to start experimenting with hear transfer vinyl for the first time. I don't suppose you would know the blade depth needed to set the S&C CM model for htv? Thanks again!

I am baffled by what vinyl to buy for embroidery and scan n cut. I usually buy a kit... but i just can't afford those... i feel like i have wasted money on the hobby lobby vinyl cuz i am not sure if i should use it. Can you do a quick what to buy for different projects?

Hi Margie! We really like Siser and Oracle vinyl, but other vinyls will work. You don't have to buy the kit to start cutting vinyl, just use the black blade, and use up the vinyl that you've already purchased and give the items that you make away so that you can keep practicing and learn what you like. It's easy to get caught up in buying accessories and not using them, We've all been there in the beginning. Go to canvas workspace and artspira app, and start doing projects with the supplies that you have. Getting started is the hardest part. I hope that is helpful. We will consider doing that as a video as well =)
