Yeah, as likeable and personable the guy (pb) was, gay managed to totally expose the complacency towards the victims. The victims were blown to smithereens earlier that day and he didn't have to wherewithal to be solemn. As for the Padraig Flynn interview - I like the guy - I don't think he came across as a privileged, vacuous yuppie prick in the slightest. I mean put yourself in his sleek shiny fancy italian designer bespoke shoes for a second. You should try running 3 households sometime and don't come running to me whinging when you have to light a fire in one of those houses because you haven't been there for a couple of weeks.

Lenihan actually won more first preference votes in the 1990 Election - but Mary Robinson finished top thanks to transfers from Austin Currie.

Correct,and apparently after Lenihans sacking he got a bump in the polls from sympathy but that was lost when Pee Flynn ran his mouth on the radio

@@gadai4609 Entire saga behind this requires a longer more detailed documentary. Including details of a South Dublin Polling station where Dustin The Turkey received more write-in votes that FG candidate Austin Currie !!
