"I can't think of many other ingredients that come complete with their own little frying pan that is both beautiful and conducts heat so well." - Gill.
Scallops cooked in fire embers with seaweed butter, from Gill's brilliant debut book 'Gather'.

WOW! Fresh scallops right out of the shell with that wonderful butter over the coals.......that to me is like a MILLION dollar meat! I can't imagine how nice and sweet they were! Fantastic!

They ruined an entire ecosystem for this footage. The cornish coast was appalled
Just like the other one with the pear and juniper; this is so simple and pure. I love it!
One of the most beautiful things I've ever watched!
Very helpful, very instructive. Thank you.
very relaxing vid..and good scallop recipe tnx gill :-)
yum
The seaweed is kelp?
Nice, but recent videos aren't really representative of meals I'm likely to make. Common ingredients and a no fuss approach preferred.
'Nuff said - do people really need instructions for this? Clean scallops and put back on shell. Crumble some seaweed & chopped garlic, pinch of salt into butter, mix. Put butter mix on scallops and put over heat for a minute or two turning halfway... It's all there...
River cottage ruined half of the Cornwall ecosystem foraging for scallops. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CHANNEL
