Oliveira has such a killer instinct，it's crazy.

Game 3 is my game of the year. The absolute balls of steel to use the SCVs as a wall.

That was incredible Oliveira didn't miss a beat. Funny how perfect his timing is now that he's no longer confused for Time🙃

Pretty sure they train together very frequently and definitely held each other at high regards. Oliveira was a different beast that day.

Happy for Oliveira/Time🎉🎉🎉

Dunno why, seeing Oliveira climb his way up while defeating 4 of the top 5 player including World Best Terran Maru in a row while he's not even a top 10 player is much more interesting than most of the fight between the top player themself. And everytime he win, he seems really happy while if the top player win, they mostly showing smug face.

Koreans don't really show any expression culturally. Byun and Creator are exceptions. Serral also just doesn't have expressions. Funny thing is Serral laughs a lot if he's with Oliveirra, like they're playing 2v2 or practicing. Other than that, only Reynor shows emotions.

Give it a try! The campaign is a classic, the co-op mode is fun and the versus mode is addicative and gives you constant adrenaline rush. In any case, you'll have a better understanding of the game when you watch the pro games.

A small thing the announcers missed, in the 3rd game the reason that Oliveira sacrificed the reaper was to make room in the bunker for the scv he built.

Just wow! Big congrats to Oliveira, well deserved ! But what happened to Hero at the end of the 1st game? He lost few stalkers (no micro), then the disastrous handling of the colossus that was quickly taken out. That's not the 'usual' Hero's level.

The only thing I can think is everyone top tier that Oliveira played against figured he was just the same as he's always been, ie. They underestimated him and didn't respect that he jumped up to their level

tbf by the time his colossus got out the game was already over even with proper colossus micro. Oliveira was up 20 supplies and he could either kill all of herO's workers at the natural and get out with most of his armies or drop on top of the colossus if herO micros it since herO only had 2 stalkers protecting it.

He thought he did enough damage to cause Oliveira to panic after the 4 stalker player, but his main army was chased down and mostly obliterated, then he traded out a few more to kill the tank, but left the bio army essentially intact Then in his natural, its a 3 medivac drop against 2 stalkers and 1 colosus, and the colossus does nothing against maurauders with medivac support. And it happened too quickly, the shock of getting your whole stalker army and battery overcharge sniped - it is VERY hard to react when all marines just focus fire each stalker down at the same time, you can't even use blink cos it's dead in 1 shot. What could he come up with? He's very used to having a more evenly matched army, or more stalkers and OUT in the battlefield, not in his base. He sent his colossus as a panic reaction to try and kill the marines as they were the ones doing the most damage, but there was at least 3 maurauders blocking the ramp and stimmed. There was no chance with his army against 3 dropship full of bio. Stalkers are only capable of doing damage if they can be microed, and they always have to trade space for damage. If the enemy is in your natural, and they take out your pylons to your reinforcement, what can you do with stalkers? They can't tank, and they take too long to fire their next shot. The stimmed marines (in large enough numbers) would snipe 3 stalkers for every 1 marine sniped. If you let your stalkers free fire and random targets, the medivacs just heal everything up.

I just want to say that i really love Rottie's game sense and caster personality. He's truly awesome to listen to.

First match ...1 colossus + 2 stalkers vs 3 dropship worth of marines and marauders with stim. No chance.

ITS ABOUT TIME

Man, Oliveira mopped up those stalkers quick in that first game. Just rapid fire one at a Time with stimpacked marines

Really good build from Oliveira game 1. He gets the bunker on the natural because he's playing against hero, gets a cyclone for safety as well, and then into 3-1-1 with a single engi bay and stim and cc. With double marauder production available against the potential blinkstalkers. If youre looking for a safe ladder build for TvP this is it.

He is probably trying to get money to build the nexus in time before the SCV scout comes in hopes of Olivera doesn't suspect there is a rush coming and didn't notice the late build of the nexus.

Look at the dynamics of PVT its a very very scrappy matchup. A drop of Marines can do terrible damage and 2 prong attacks. The game gets to the point to where Terran can attack toss but toss can't attack terran. Unless you get some initial advantage your going to play be playing on the back foot.

@@ObeliskM Prism is good but it's not a game ender. These pro-gamers handle warp prism pretty damn good. If your a terran player and your having wp issues then use strategic missle turrets and focus fire when you get the chance. Wp has a very limited shelf life and is not an OP unit otherwise blizzard would have addressed it in the patch.

Id like to think the scv said "scv ready!" when he pulled them.

I feel like Hero jept playing a high risk, high gain game every single match, and Oliveira just ignored it and went along with his own plan. Too bad, I wanted Hero to win. Great games, though.

Not to detract from Oliveira's insane win, but PvT seems like an incredibly hard matchup after the patch. With shield overcharge and disruptors nerfed, holding a stim +1 terran all-in as toss has become incredibly difficult.

the shield overcharge nerf didn't play any role in the first match - his army was smaller and consisted of stalkers that don't do well just standing still and fighting it out, unlike marines. shield overcharge was overpowered with little counterplay, too simple an I-win button. There was no further micro etc after you pressed it.

Hero had ONE shield battery and a handful of blink stalkers against a +1 double medivac stim Terran army and he didn't even cancel his third after seeing Time's army coming after him The fact you think one shield overcharge should be able to stop this all-in is why shield overcharge should be nerfed "Ohhh I could just kill 16 scv for free with my warp prism blink stalkers while building my third while teching up into colossus without making an immortal and terran can do NOTHING about it"

Its not an all in if the other toss refuses to go tech over expanding early. Pulling the scvs is not a build order timing, its killer instinct. Not many players would have the balls to pull that off knowing that storm could come at anytime. Its not like hero didnt know what was coming either, and still chose to expand too fast. But hey if you are ready to have 20+ minute snooze fest MechvPs to be the norm because a normal marine tank push out timing needs to be nerfed further because protoss players cant be bothered to counter what they are scouting, all the power to you.

Terran does really seem to have the ability to break protoss with stim timings where is seems you need godly control as the protoss to defend-and they dont seem risky. Like a tank and a few marines can hold the defense. Im not saying its broken, but its IMO the biggest bug next to widow mines cleaning up mineral lines.

Not to diminish Oliveira’s accomplishments, but it really just felt like herO could do absolutely nothing while Oli just pumped out the same thing 4 games in a row. He was constantly trying to make something happen to trip him up but he couldn’t achieve anything. Really goes to show Toss just needs a complete overhaul that they’ll never get - not a buff, a redesign.

Time/oliveria defeated reynor, hero and maru, the best zerg, protoss and terran using the same strategy His two base push Because starcraft 2 hasn't received any *major* balance patch for quite a few years, pro scene especially in korea has devolved into slowly and safely tearing your opponent apart hoping to mentally break them like byun's multi drops and hero's blink pressure Serral and reynor seem unbreakable because their playstyle is centered around countering Korean's multi-proned attacks, just look at serral vs byun this iem, serral seemed unbreakable despite byun had military supply lead for the first 10 minutes because byun wasted so much precious time on trying to find a weak point for his drops instead of just punch serral in the face But Time came to say, you can have fun with your flashy micro, I will defend, and I will muster every unit I have, and I will kill you Funny enough, protoss you cried so much about is the best for this defensive and decisive kind of playstyle, if stats is still around he will be one hell of a show

If you watched all of his matches against these pros, his best offense was his defense and patience All he did was just stayed in his base, defense, upgrade , upgrade , tech , pump units and when everything was ok, hell just march for the killer move, while example in hero's match, what did he do? Nothing, like in 2nd game he didnt tech , all he did was send those 3 adepts shades into oli's main base trying to get it in lol And maru what did he do? He always went for the same weird and awkward openings again and again, while oli was just gearing up and protecting his base

herO slapping Solar, DRG, Special, Elazer and Dark in this tournament and more importantly beating (or destroying) Maru, Bunny and Byun last year in permier tournament finals - no problem herO getting beaten in the semi finals of IEM - toss couldn't do anything, pls redesign

@@aleverettes2789 Her0 made some critical mistakes, but toss is without a doubt the weakest race. Toss has the weakest ability to def split push/drops early-mid game; their units are worse in small numbers compared to other races. They also need the most time/tech to macro to get a decent army with splash, which they need as all their single target units are less cost efficient than those of other races. Could go on and on about this, other races just got more tools, faster tempo and less risk - and way less clunky and slow units. Bottom line is that you need to play better as toss to win than as zerg or terran.

@@aleverettes2789 Will be a long time before we see another protos winner in any big tournament, need some luck. When the skill level is equal, protos seems to be the weakest race among the three (look at finalist winners from last year for example, 16 big tournaments and only 2 protos winners, rest is all terran and zerg, the data doesn't lie)

tbh, I rly feel the game one shows something very timba. Set their macro skills aside, the army supplies of both sides were even when Oli moved out. No matter how hard hero macro his prisim in Oli's main, he couldnt save his army from being crashed by marau marine. I know his failure must has to do with the timming, scout and judgement of the situation. But it just looks not fair :/

Its not a racial imbalance If you keep trading for eco to the point you can't deal with the army of your opponent anymore. Hero got too greedy warping in 3 zealots across the map (delaying his colossi) while seeing time push out. He not even recalled his prism for potential pickup micro. Not even a 2nd sentry to forcefield his ramp. What do you expect? Holding a dedicated 2 base stim timing on 3 racks with upgraded attack while casually teching, expanding AND killing 16 workers in your opponents base? THAT would be the definition of 'not fair'.

@@zhituhu2822 i think the point of Starcraft is assymetrical balance, there are timings when one race is stronger than the other+ it´s also about unit composition. So 100 vs 100 supply doesnt mean it´s even.

I have not been watching SC2 for years, and coming back I really see the issue of no new pros, old pros like Hero is not playing anywhere close to his prime, just look at game one, he only need to micro 2 front and lost 2 stalker for nothing, then slow force field, the colossus just walked down ramp by itself? The pros playing are too old, the overall level of play has not improved but drastically declined.

Showing the player's view is kinda useless. I have no way following nor understanding what they were doing.

Seems more like China/Tencent paying players to take a dive
