SBS Heroes - Nicole's Interview Cutscene
Ойын-сауық
Footage belongs to SBS Korea.
A scene from SBS' Heroes that I found hilarious.
[Please rate positively and I'll work to putting more up for you all to view!]
Scene Details:
Hwijae's reactions to the interviewer's English question both, before and after, is so funny!
Nicole's English is really fluent too! Her interpretation of the word "shy" is so funny. Nicole is too cute.
And then there's Gahee from After School, who's facial expressions are hilarious as well!
Overall, a very funny scene from the show.

"effort never betrays you", the reason why I love Nicole
her last answer made me wanna cry.... TT unni... is such a hardworker.
the ending statement that nicole said pretty much impressed me so much from her
Nicole knows English better than anyone in South Korea. She grew up in LA, for heaven's sake.
The last quote from nicole has become my guideline!
니콜 마지막 멘트에서 멋진 사람이란걸 느꼈다
I don't understand why people criticizing her English 😣 where you even fluent enough to speak English? Geez people 😏 This is somewhere in 2010/2011 if I'm not mistaken, Nicole left U.S after she graduated elementary she somehow adapted Hangul even though sometimes she mix match the meaning and word she can speak 3-4 language she's a multi-lingual Watching it again 2019 🙌 I miss Heroes/Good Sunday Heroes Nicori 😘 I miss you so much 💕 Love your accent and your so cute here 😍

I don't understand the issue with Nicole's English either. She sounds like a young person who's trying not to sound nervous at a job interview, but she was able to answer the question given to her. Not everyone is gifted with eloquence though.
@Benjefwil you also have to understand that even if English was her native language, she probably only had up until her middle school, maybe a little high school, years of English learned before she left to Korea. So the way she spoke during this interview is a reflection of that. Yeah, you're right it's not perfect but that's also because she hasn't been practicing her English for the past 5+ years. For her to be able to switch back to English and make something out of it is impressive.
I miss Nicole and Kara. I know the individual members are still active, but they seem less visible than before with their activities. I don't know why people are criticizing Nicole's english in the comments ?! It seems perfect to me ? Yes she rambles a bit, but that is just because of nervousness. Lots of people do that in interview situations.

Queen of the English language

Nicole is my hero!! she's awesome
Kahi's expression LOL!
lol i love their reactions and the caption.
凄いなニコルは😃
kahi's face loool!!
this clip is what got me started with watching heroes... i'm all caught up to ep 26 because they sadly haven't finished subbing the remaining 14 episodes =/. suffice to say that i've become severely addicted to watching those girls =D
The girl is actually quadlingual: Korean, English, Japanese, and Spanish =D
Nicole is the best of the best :)
kahi looked a bit scared in the end... lol
@AceLockMakLeaBli I think you are right about the tone. Seems like she is using a Korean speaking pattern with English. Like the way she raises her tone at the end of a point. Something one could easily pick up by speaking Korean and little English for 5+ years.
@Benjefwil this is a job interview, she is supposed to show off her skills
actually in a interview she said she knows spanish too!!!
Cutee.
The other heroes are used to her being cute babo Nicole. Just because she needs some work in her Korean doesn't mean she can't pwn in English!
LMAO at how loss everyone is
'efforts dont betray you when it does you havent done your best' ganna be my motto p.s not the correct translation... :D
interwiers were pawned.... NICOLE knows to speak english way BETTER than them!

Gelo Yes thats because she was born and raise in the u.s
Do anyone of you know which episode was it that IU sang the heroes song? The one where she changed lyrics of Marshmellow to Heroes.. Please someone tell me.. Im dying .
@mrpowerplus this cut scene is from episode 11
@Benjefwil I think the fact that she gave such an awkward answer is due to the fact that it was such a stupid question. If there had been another English speaker there, as is usually the case when Tiffany or Jessica of SNSD are mentioned to be fluent in English, she would have been able to have a proper conversation, which likely wouldn't have been as boring and rambling.

I read that in Sooah's imitation of Kahi.
@TheMandalore4 I said nothing about how easy or hard it was for her to speak English so that point is useless. Also the fact that it is for fun does not change the fact that when she talks it is awkward to listen too since she is using a strange tone and obviously just trying to speak for those who don't understand. Which sounds annoying. You need to calm down you have emotional issues.
Sounds like she is just talking nonsense to show off her English skill.
@cutiediane2468 Regardless, it is annoying to listen to, since it is obvious everything she is saying is pointless and would only be considered impressive to Koreans listening who don't understand what she is saying and are simply gauging her skill by the duration of the constant noise of a foreign language coming out of her mouth.
