Probably because we're the competition to the "White man world". However, this allows diversity, creativity and blossoming of Chinese culture because it's kept contained in this section of the world.

Thanks for your nice video. China is a peaceful country, it brings me tears and hope to know some decent foreigners are talking about China to the rest of the world. I hope the Western politicians and media will speak about the truth of China rather than smearing China to cover up their failures and corruptions in their system.

This video evokes a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of classic travel TV shows featuring a charismatic host, presenting a delightful sequence of food, people, and architecture. I even suspected it was filmed in the early 2000s! In contrast, the vibes from today's KZread travel vloggers are distinctly different. 😄

I agree with your suspicion it was filmed in the early 2000s. Cash was used to pay for breakfast. Today, this would be paid using the phone. Also noted people in the queues were not on their mobile phones. This would be unusual today.

From the xplay6 advertisement at 0:12, you can deduce that this is filmed later than Nov. 2016, and judging from the clothing of the people as well as the blooming vegetations, it can be deduced that this film is filmed around May-June 2017.

I was born and grew up in Taiwan. I have been living in the US since 1960's. I visited Shanghai 24 y ago. At that time, there was only one skyscraper in Putong, the Pearl Tower. Only one piece is missing in this video is the views of the spectacular colorful light shows in the skyscrapers in Putong looking from the east bank of Huangpu river. I have seen these beautiful scenes taken from other travelers.
