Is really awesome to see real reality on a movie. Life isn't always that old cliche tv shows us. This picture is so exciting and so beautifully done ❤❤❤

AF is easily the best feature I've seen within the past 5 years. While I'm glad that he won for adapted screenplay, it's unbelievable to me that Cord wasn't nom'd for Best Director. The level of sensitivity, range of emotions, and the craftsmanship are all Johnny Walker Blue.

What truly fascinating interview this was to watch and listen to. Needless to say, it made me want to see this film, if only to put a smile on my grumpy old face--a face marked by deep disillusionment in the shit-show our world seems to have become in my final days. I was particularly impressed by Mr. Jefferson's closing comments about the two conflicting ways we see the issue of race. He's right about the irreconcilability of these two views. I wish there was some magical way to completely erase race as a concept or even word in our languages so that we would have no alternative but to see and treat each other equally, especially via the bigoted, discriminatory and unfair ways that those whose ancestors were brought here from Africa as slaves were mistreated for so long. But of course that will never happen, which is why we need films and books that satirize those dumb enough to believe in superiority or supremacy based on race. Btw: Agree with the interviewer: Mr. Wright is one our greatest actors. Loved what he said about Gary Oldman and the Sid and Nancy film.

.. that thing he says, "I don't see race", & then his agent replies that the problem is that everyone else does.. 🤔😳😅 .. I've said that too 🤨😅.. so apparently we have more work to do 🧐😅

"my father was a black republican and my mother was a white liberal" sounds like the synopsis for a masterpiece

I saw the film and loved the nuance of race discussions among Black folks. Anything that Jeffery wright does always has layers. Even when he doesn’t say much like in the James Bond films. I would have loved a movie about Felix lighter.
